Back to cute girls next time. I'll be cautiously optimistic. PA works is great when they're great, and not so great when they're not... didn't like Hanasaku but I'm loving Another.
If this ends up being the Hanasaku Iroha sequel they'd mentioned, then I'm out. If it's something totally new, I'm definitely in given the character designs.

Looks very much like Hanasaku Iroha. If is has some connection, that's fine by me, as I enjoyed the series. I tend to like PA Works shows, although they never end up being favorites. At any rate, I can imagine I'll end up watching this and probably enjoying it.

Heh, I already like these three! I've actually liked everything I've seen from P.A. Works (haven't seen Another yet, but I plan to), so I can say that I'm interested in seeing what this series has to offer.

From the show's logo it looks like music will be a big part of it. And the three main girls are all voiced by seiyuu who can sing.

PA Works + Cute girls = going on my "high chance of needing to import" list for Summer 2012.

I think it would be more immediately obvious if it was the Hansaku Iroha sequel. Or at least there would be something indicating the possibility. These are completely new characters, different title, and no Kishida Mel. And this one seems to have something to do with music, going by the logo design. Everything suggests this is a completely new project to me.
The only way this could be the sequel they were talking about is if by 'sequel' they meant something like 'spiritual successor', but I'm pretty sure they meant an actual sequel.

Confirmed (https://twitter.com/#!/Infinitedayo/status/181757442995142656) to not be the new Hanasaku Iroha work. ("Wait a little bit longer for the new Hanairo and Naoki Hisaya works.")

Okay, thanks.
And what's this about Hisaya Naoki? Did PA Works say they were working with him on an anime or something?

The producer who worked with PA on Hanasaku Iroha,Takayuki Nagatani, mentioned (https://twitter.com/#!/Infinitedayo/status/169358193795932160) in that there was a project he was working with Hisaya-san last month, but it has nothing to do with Tari Tari. I'm searching for the original work this is based on, but I can't find the company either.

This is an adolescent drama set on the island of Enoshima (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enoshima) in the Kanagawa Prefecture (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanagawa_Prefecture). Wakana Sakai entered high school to focus on their music department, but her interest subsided after a certain event and now she's just a normal student. After becoming a 3rd year student and forming the Chorus Club with Miyamoto Konatsu and Okita Sawa, will music once again fill her heart?
Wakana Sakai: The only daughter of a souvenir shop owner. After her mother passed away, she lost all interest in music.
Miyamoto Konatsu: Wakana's classmate and a member of the vocals department. After her mistake in last year's performance, she's moved to take over the chorus.
Okita Sawa: Wakana's classmate and the daughter of a temple priest near the school. Her dream is to one day be a horse rider.

So it's about music after all. Works for me.
Her dream is to one day be a horse rider.
Well that came out of nowhere.

I didn't feel it was necessary to bump this thread earlier, but Tari Tari, like Hanasaku Iroha will be released by Pony Canyon on BD and have music released by Lantis.
In addition, the site updated (http://taritari.jp/index.html) today with more artwork and an updated story. I don't have time to translate anything, but here (http://youtu.be/LOgdQaYzqqo)'s the first PV.

Finishing some things in RL today, so I don't have time to translate the character text, but here is the updated outline (http://taritari.jp/story/index.html) as on the website.
Though adults call it juvenile, we're not children. We're high school students.
Wakana Sakai was separated from music one day.
Konatsu Miyamoto won't give up singing.
Sawa Osata will lend her strength to her friends.
Laughing, fighting, hurting, loving...
These young girls slowly move forward while trying to escape from their ordinary lives.
While life may take a detour, they'll never be alone. Their friends will surely be by their side.
Wakana, Konatsu, Sawa, and the girls in the Ensemble will produce a gorgeous story.
The final summer of high school.
It's still too early to give up on your dreams.
We'll encourage the singing voices from Enoshima from here on.

Sounds interesting. I've been quite a fan of PA's last few works so I'll definitely pay attention to this one(at least initially...).

Prominent male characters = interest goes down.
Everything else looks awesome = interest goes up.
This should be fun.

As for me, this title is still a import possibility, a strong one after this PV.

May I ask why prominent male characters is a negative? You seem to watch plenty of shows with prominent male characters(ie. Space Brothers) so I was wondering why it's an issue here?

It depends completely on the show.
