Sora no Otoshimono: Tokeijikake no Angeloid

There doesn't seem to be a thread for the Sora no Otoshimono movie so I'm starting a thread for anyone who wishes to discuss it. I will be posting my thoughts later in another post on this thread.

The original TV series already had good animation quality but this was stunning.
The first 40 minutes however were like a self-insertion fanfic. They basically recap scenes from the TV with Hiyori inserted in between. It is after that that the show really shines. Some of the perverted jokes really work ( I will never look at a lightbulb the same way again). Also, when it came to drama, the show succeeded in being poignant. The new character, Hiyori really shines to the point that I am almost rooting the most for her. Nymph gets her moments to shine too. Not enough Astrea though. The final fight scene was stunning animation-wise.
Some of the fundamental problems from the TV series remain. While I can appreciate Tomoki being the catalyst for some bizarre ecchi humor, I think there's too much of an overdose of chibi nude Tomoki. And I find it annoying that he acts perverted but once a girl becomes interested and actually tries to go all out with him, he acts like a wimp without a scrotum. :sweat:
I also worry that this movie will end up being similar to Sailor Moon movies in the sense that the events of this movie won't carry on to the TV series. I really would like to see more of Hiyori in the 3rd season and I really would like to see the main villain get his punishment.
