An okay first episode I suppose. Kinda sad that it looks like their going for a compressed adaption. Well hopefully they won't mess with the central themes too much doing it this way. Fight scenes look like they'll be pretty impressive at least.
I do hope this will do well enough that Viz'll bring over the manga though. That would pretty awesome

Those characters look really familiar after Tiger & Bunny. In some ways this really reminded me of that. Not very often you see those kinds of superhero designs in anime series these days. And of course their human forms look very similar thanks to the creator of this / character designer of that. As for the actual storyline, I think it's interesting enough to keep me watching, but I doubt it will be anything I love.

After watching that Jin kid fight I was WOW!
It was sad watching him cart his dead grandpa around town without realizing what really happened to him. He truly is a naive kid...
Kouga got scolded at the same time, what bad luck losing a "parent" & a friend at the same time.
Akemi really was kind hearted... but trouble just keeps following Jin.
I'm totally watching this one!

Meh. Was not impressed. Most of the episode was dull or annoying. Looks like this is a prologue and the series will mostly take place while Jin and his two friends are high schoolers. That will fix my issues with Jin in this episode but it will quite likely trade those issues for new ones.
Some of the animation was rather awkward and the first fight scene against the punks was a complete mess.
I'm not sure I care much to keep watching to find out if it gets better. I watched way too much shit last season and I'm trying to limit how many shows I watch in this season.

So Jin is all grown up now..
Guess Kouga still follows the same hero ideals as he did as a kid.
Konoha's doing what she can to help others too.
Those three together would make an amazing team together.
Jin as Zetman is pretty terrifying.
I kinda feel sorry for Kouga who is still under his family's foot...

Kouga sure trains really hard, but no matter how hard he trains he'll never be on Jin's level.
Jin's ZET form is really nice and awesomely strong even tough it's still incomplete.
While Kouga has it all (but struggles with his hero principles and desires), Jin lost/had to give up everything..
The new info about the monsters and their creators was really interesting.
I have a feeling like Jin just signed the deal with the devil...

So Jin's now officially working for the organization as their ZET.
Kouga's still bothered by the fact he was practically powerless compared to Jin.
Konoha's trying to re-connect with Jin, but he just keeps pushing everyone away because of his mission.
Looks like Jin inherited his Aunties' habit of collecting strays.
He's still charging people for the rescue though LOL
The Sweeper... just who is that guy? Can't wait for next episode!

The Sweeper = Grim Reaper for Players
Jin meets Tanaka, saves her & can't get rid of her ^^"
Kouga was all stressed out about that justice prototype suit.
That was just the beginning of his problems...
Seems like Konoha is not willing to let go of Jin as easily as her brother did.
Poor Jin can't get any rest, he's like a trouble magnet.

Well... Jin was not as useful as in his ZET mode.
Poor Konoha. She sure had her fair share of fear and trauma.
Good thing Kouga came along and saved them all.
At least the homeless think of him as a hero.
Those bug players were pretty serious opponents.
Seiji sure made Jin transform... so much raw power.

Okay, the pacing is definitely slowing down now. In fact, it seemed like almost nothing happened in this episode. Did they just find out they got an extra cour or something?

Jin finally in his complete ZET form.
Alphas trying to fight player on his on was a bad idea.
Guess even his robot suit isn't enough to defeat a monster.
Jin's new ZET powers were just amazing, who knew!
Haitani sure knows how to stir trouble, a total sleazeball.
That shrimp guy was a pretty strong enemy.

So Kouga is now in on the whole Jin's thing.
Interesting how he still looks at Jin like he did when they were kids.
Kouga & Jin could make a great team if the joined forces.
Looks like they made a monster out of dead Kanzaki.
That was cruel and really disturbing.

He is officially christened "Zetman". Both are pretty boring, but I'd greatly prefer Kouga to be our lead at this point.

That shape shifting players were pretty interesting.
Looks like that pendant is really important and gone for now.
Without it, Jin can't get his complete form.
And here it is finally, the attempt to make Jin switch sides.
Jin & Tanaka, who knew they'd become an item, nice bonus.

Jins everywhere. Konoha's life sure does suck, doesn't it?

It seems really uncharacteristic for Jin to tell Hanako he wants her to be his family and that stuff. And I feel really bad for Konoha. I never thought Jin would give her any time of day, but I didn't think he would to Hanako either, and now they're having sex and discussing future plans of being a family. And I've always thought Konoha deserved what she wanted a lot more than Hanako did. Kouga meets a bunch of girls who want him just as much, but it's just a trap set by the enemy. Also, said enemy finally announces themselves. This series still feels really disjointed to me. I still feel like Jin is way too emotionless, but then he chooses Hanako and says that stuff to her, but he still seems the same to me. I guess I just feel like he has no personality, and it makes his character far more boring to me than a lead should ever be. The rest is interesting enough, though.

Jin got himself and girlfriend and now he wants a white picket fence life.
That part is sorta naive considering his situation.
Kouga was not having it easy with his sister's "kidnapping".
Looks like his idea of being a hero isn't quite like the reality of things.
Seems like he got himself into quite a mess...
Haitani finally made his public move and graduated to a real enemy.

Episode 11
Players rampaging around.
Kouga... decisions, decisions. A bunch of bad ones too.
Things are seriously getting out of hand.
There sure is a lot of hatred going on towards the Amagi family.
Very interesting episode.
Episode 12
Haitani sure made a nice little show to twist the truth in his favor.
Kouga to the rescue!
Now that's a rare sight... Jin being saved.
Looks like Haitani is very serious about his "age of players".
Well.... no wonder this happened since humanities' failed experiments always come to claim their revenge *sigh* they just never learn..
Damn that guy, he somehow always gets exactly what he wanted to achieve.
At least we finally get so his complete form in some serious action.
It was kinda sad, but also infuriating about what happened to Hanako.

Jin took Hanako's death really badly.
Kouga & his Alphas were practically helpless against Haitani.
I'm glad Jin managed to get a grip and put an end to that madman.
Childhood friendship broken...
I was expecting Jin to go nuts, but Kouga outdid himself with his twisted sense of justice.
Jin's new transformation was just amazing.
Looks like the city has got 2 heroes now.
Good final episode.

Not sure if I should reference Tiger & Bunny or The Dark Knight here... That was actually a really good episode. It took the epic endgame that's been built up to for it to be good, but I'm glad I kept watching for it. I'm not sure if I would have liked it better if it was longer than one cour. I can't see how it could have kept my interest any more by taking longer to get to this point. Well it's over now, and I don't think I'll be thinking about it too much in the future. If Viz dubs it and releases it all on one cheap Blu-ray, I'll buy it and re-watch it, but that doesn't seem that likely.
