I think the ED is trying to sell me something. I hnnnnnggggggggggggggged at Tsumiki's "I can't say 'I love you'" during the ED.
I really hope the series continues like this. I have a weakness for 4-koma based shows and this one looks like a winner.

I like how it's done 4-koma style in a way. Very cute and had me laughing pretty much every scene.

What's with all the cat motifs in the show? Not that I mind, but something I noticed.

The main characters are really fun and all have their individual quirks. I love Io and Tsumiki together since he seems to be very oblivious to her and how she feels, but, at least, he's a good, caring friend.

This was pretty awesome - in the arcade when the Sasaki and Tsumiki were playing the Street Fighter clone...that actually happened in real life at the biggest fighting game tournament in the US at EVO 2004.

Daigo vs Justin Wong, EVO 04 semifinals (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeM0rH_4ung) - skip to around 25 seconds and you'll see exactly the same thing that happened in the anime. That's a really awesome reference.

If the show keeps it up with the cuteness and gag comedy, this is definitely an import.

Well, from the minute Tsumiki spoke, I was given confirmation that this adaptation would be handled well. Seriously her voice and mannerism as I had hope. She's adorable and precious sounding. Also, I can't tell if the blue highlights in her purple hair are distracting or attracting.

Interaction between the core five should be fun. Along with some of the supporting cast. Including some I don't think I met yet. I've only read about nine or ten chapters of this.

She used a move that always gets me: when she shyly tries to grab Io's coat so she can hold on to him. Yuki does something similar in Disappearance. Somehow that conveys an emotion that doesn't need words.

Tsumiki is cute and I'm amused that Mayoi is in an almost permanent :3 mode.

Well... hmmmm. I guess I'll give it another episode. At first I was ready to add this to the "miss" 4-koma pile, but it got a bit better as it went along. Which was mostly due to more focus on Tsumiki being adorable. That's were about 95% of my enjoyment of the episode came from. Another 3% was from Tsumiki getting pissed or being a natural god at fighting games.

This was way too cute. Lots of laugh out moments. Love Tsumiki's ahoge and she's not really tsundere, just very shy. Ookubo Rumi sounded like Denpa Onna's Erio at times.

I think Io/Tsumiki has a chance of being one of my favourite couples in anime.

Anyone else see/hear Hime and wonder what Run from A-Channel is doing in this show? :)

Episode 1:

- Super Ahoge Time! Tsumiki is adorable. Another role for Ookubo Rumi, who I came to know through Yuru Yuri. (I'm going to type Tsukimi every time, I can see it now)

- Yaaaaay another role for Fukuhara Kaori. Have loved loved loved her ever since Tsukasa in Lucky Star.

Tsumiki is less a tsundere and more a thing I wish we had a word for but we don't so I go with the phrase that often comes up in its context: "sunao ja nai" (not being honest [with your feelings]).

Tsundere is like a sister concept to, or subconcept of, sunao ja nai. Tsumiki has a hard time being open about her feelings, but besides that one scene, doesn't really have the dual tsuntsun and deredere nature that defines the tsundere. She's mostly consistent in her behavior.

If the show can keep it up, it's an instant import for me. So far, after one episode, this show is like this Spring season's A-Channel - a fun, cute, relaxing show. Since I eventually decided to import A-Channel, I can see myself buying this one too unless it turns for the worse. But, it looks like it's playing out like the manga the way they are doing the skits, so it should be fine.

This reminds me that I need to buy the manga at some point.

The manga did introduce the Hatch Potch in a funnier manner than the anime. I do wonder if they'll do a flashback. That'd be nice.

I think Mayoi tossing Tsumiki has to be one of the cutest throws ever.

The first episode was putting me to sleep for most of the first half, but this episode entertained me throughout. Tsumiki's nekomimi, occasional violence and constant adorableness and Mayoi's :3 are a powerful combination. Oh, and Hime's brain breaking is nice too.

And so, Acchi Kocchi becomes one of the few 4 koma anime I'm actually enjoying.

Kana is especially fun. Testing onions by using them on Mayoi is kind of evil of her. I actually thought she was going to hold her nose.

That was a pretty insane "snowball fight." Holy crap, Tsumiki.

Normally what Mayoi did would be totally unfair, but she didn't have a chance without her snowball minigun (bazookas do not have a rapid-fire mode).

Then, new characters. Kana and Saki are a lot of fun. And kinda evil. Saki crushes people emotionally, Kana sprays onion juice in eyes for shits and giggles, and both of them are pyromaniacs. I particularly like Kana. I hope they both get a lot of screen time.

And teasing Tsumiki is a sure and quick route to Painville. Even if you're Io. It just won't be nearly as severe as Mayoi's punishment. Both of you, please keep it up.

Episode 3:

- Time to play in the snow. Lure Tsumiki with Io bait!
- Oh no they're going to fall on the snow, cusion their descent with, um, wood. Nice.... save? Tsumiki. >_>
- Mayoi's underpants. Uh, interesting choice.
- This episode proves that Tsumiki is ridiculously strong. First kicking the wood platform thing and now throwing a snowball multiple times larger than she is.
- Commence awesome snowball fight! Hime goes for the double kill. Except one is a teammate.
- Tsumiki vs Mayoi. Tsumiki obliterates her.

- New characters! Miyama Kana and Sakimori Saki.
- Cooking time. Tsumiki can merely touch an egg an crack it in half perfctly. Did she display these feats of superhuman strength and precision in eps 1-2?
- Kana is Konno Hiromi, and I knew she sounded familiar but wasn't sure which role, but she's Hakase! Oh and Kogami Akira in Lucky Star, and stuff. She's been in a lot of KyoAni shows - those two plus Munto/SoraAge, FMP FUuoffu, and Air.
- Saki is Takamori Natsuki, and I'm not sure if I'm hearing a specific prior role there but she's Mei in Another, which is definitely nothing like this.
- Saki trolling Kyouko is awesome. Need more of her.
- I like that Tsumiki is just as strong and just as good at cooking and such as Io. Normally you'd expect her to be a bit of a fuckup since he's so perfect, but really her only character "flaw", if you can even call it that, is that she's so shy.
- Nekomimi Tsumiki looooooooove! And AOE nosebleed inducing!

- Yay, Kana and Saki are back! They better be in most scenes from now on.
- Huh, unexpected teams. Sakaki and Mayoi aren't on the same side, nor are Tsumiki and Io.
- Saki continues to be awesome. She's so good at teasing people~
- Hahah this game is way too intense for Hime. Especially Sakaki and Saki. o_O
- And Hime is the first one out.
- In the end, the can is kicked and Io's team wins. What will he ask of Tsumiki?
- Aww we don't find out.

- Part B!
- Another new girl, Kirino Ami! Member of the broadcast committee. Io and Sakaki are on the lunch-time show as guests.
- Sakaki's advice for making someone fall in love with you is very scary. And deadly.
- Heh. Someone writes in describing a girl that sounds a whole lot like Tsumiki. :sd:
- And when they talk about oblivious guys, everyone stares at Io.
- Hahaha, Io induces a school-wide nosebleed among the girls.

All this show needs to do is continue right along these lines and it's a guaranteed import.

Io and Sakaki are guest on a school broadcast with our host Ami.

You know Sakaki's advice is highly suspect. The girl in his imagined scenario is scary.

Gee, I wonder who sent the questions.

Io may be a "charmer", but he's also considered an oblivious one.

Ami needs to appear more. I like her design.

For someone who hates the cold and snow, Tsumiki has some serious snow powers. First, she rolls a snowball several times larger than herself, then puts a hole through it by sheer force of will. Mayoi never stood a chance.

Love this show. Its a great unwind after stressing myself out at work all day.

The A part was a lot of fun. We didn't get to witness any more completely insane abilities from her, but it gave us a few really cute scenes of her.

More importantly, lots of Kana. She needs to be paired up with Hime more often.

And we meet another new character, a fun.... um, A/V lunch host girl? I'm not sure what to refer to her as. Anyway, that segment decently amusing and cute,despite focusing heavily on the two guys. But I hope we get a segment like this with her every few episodes with different character combinations.

That was a pretty fun game of kick the can. I can totally see the show do a good John Woo movie parody, but I doubt that'll happen.

Tsumiki continues to be such a fun person to tease.

The second half was pretty humorous since the questions were pretty much based around Io and Tsumiki.

Yup, the show continues to be cute, light, fluffy fun and enjoyable to watch.

Actually, they may in fact be in the manga. It should be noted that I've only read part of the manga. Sometimes it takes several chapters for a character to get introduced in a manga.

That and sometimes the anime will introduce characters earlier than the manga did. Especially in cases where there's no major plot reason that would prevent such a case.

That was so adorable. Such an "awwww" moment. The other really cute moment in the episode was when Miniwa told Io he shouldn't grow anymore.

I think I'm pretty much going to import this one too. The show really has kept steady with it's comedy and adorableness.

I have a short buying list, but I think this one is going on it. this is one of those shows you can watch over and over and over and never get tired of. Frisbee and volleyball never looked so fun. I am also hoping for a beach episode. From the sounds of it they will do precisely that pretty soon.

The show sure takes the mundane and makes it really fun in a different way. Cleaning the pool was entertaining without the usual really happening - lots of different stuff happened. Well, playing hockey almost happened.

I do have to say that Tsumiki has skills twirling a broom. The play on Sakaki and the scrub brush was humorous too.

Tsumiki must have been in heaven in Io's room. Wanting to sniff his shirt was so cuuuute.

Besides twirling a broom, she has skills with that forceful attack on Mayoi and Hime.

The end was such an awwww moment when Tsumiki clung to Io.

Oh man, back to back. Wasn't ready for this. Definitely the best show to unwind too after a long day. I fel really relaxed now.

Why is this show just so damn adorable???

Io is like a boss - first jumping out of the train and then being all gentleman-like with keeping Tsumiki company (must've been heaven again).

First real "awwww" moment in the episode when Tsumiki slides over and carefully places Io's head on her lap. That is just way too cute.

Second "awww" moment when Tsumiki keep's feeding Io while saying "nyaaah." So cute!

Third "awww" moment when Tsumiki was all tsun about getting her hair dried by Io and then allowed him.

Tsumiki sure is really strong, too. Definitely wouldn't want to mess with her. Hilarious when she just flung Mayoi into the way instead of unwinding her yukata.

Mayoi trying to flash Tsumiki's bra wasn't in your best interest. Got to love they kept the damaged wall in mind.

I like that Tsumiki is fair about where to direct anger. Many anime females would be "blaming" Io for Mayoi's actions.

They're just plain mean to Sakaki during the pool cleaning.

Mayoi makes it clear what Kana with longer hair would be like. Let's just say the hair is too heavy.

Study session at Io's house with the three main girls. And uh, they do things they shouldn't be doing.

Mayoi's umbrella becomes a missile and is super effective against Sakaki.

Io and Tsumiki share an umbrella.

Yes, Io, you're being attacked.

Gasp! Tsumiki has been left alone as she missed getting back on the train.

Io won't leave her alone and jumps out of the train. Yeah, that's sweet.

Oh, and if Io had been the one left alone? Sakaki would have thrown Tsumiki to him.

Yeah, this show isn't exactly focused on fanservice. What with the girls playing in their normal clothes in the water. As well as skipping the bathing scene.

Ok, when it comes to bleeding it seems the one who bleeds the least is Mayoi. Second would be Tsumiki. The most would be Hime.

This is probably because Tsumiki mainly reacts to Io. While Hime would probably nosebleed over a cat meowing among other things.

- The heck is Tsumiki wearing? Looks liek a skirt at first but it's... giant pants.
- Hahah, wow. Io is pretty awesome sometimes. Tsumiki got left behind at the station! ...So he jumps out the window of a moving train so she won't be by herself. :sd:
- I love when Tsumiki is the one having the nosebleeds. And godddddddddamn they are so adorably deredere together.
- Rivers are dangerous for Mayoi.
- Tsumiki's internal monologues are awesome because that means she talks more!

I was shocked. I stood up in my apartment and shouted "It finally hits home!" Looks like Tsumiki realized that it finally hit home and she was like: What do I do now?

- Now for Mayoi's chocolate. Oddly, I guess nothing was weird about it.

- Awww... everyone is trading chocolate but Hime is holding back because she feels bad for Tsumiki.
- School ends, Tsumiki dashes out to bring the chocolate!
- Fffffffffffff MY HEART. I don't have words to describe how cute Tsumiki is right now.

- And then we skip to White Day. Io if you don't confess by the of this episode I'll have your head.

- Oh god, Io just told someone he'd dense about a girl's feelings. Io... IOOOOO!
- Kyouya is so tsundere for Saki, heh.

Heh, well, no direct confession or anything but in its own adorable understated way, the ending was very nice. I did expect a little more given Io's realization in episode 11... because he went through this episode as if that had never ever happened.

Ahhh... too bad we'll never get more. Tsumiki is just legendary-tier cute. Easily going to be a top 5 cutest characters of the year for me.
