Hmm... well should be interesting. I haven't watched a lot of this show, but doesn't it have at least some combination of cels and CG elements similar to Cowboy Bebop (at least in some of the openings)?

I couldn't really bring myself to watch this on DVD and I doubt that's gonna change now. Is this gonna have all the OVA/movies spinoffs too? Did the remastered DVD box come with all that stuff?

Yeah, the DVD remasters were split into 2 boxes but the 2nd box definitely had them.

I cannot say I am overly impressed with the look of the boxes, the LD boxes had much nicer illustrations. Although Mikimoto is my favourite character designer/artist ever, I really really hate his modern art. I hated it on the DYRL?/Macross TV DVD HD remaster boxes and I hate it on the BD boxes. It makes me sad seeing his modern art and then looking at the glory of the Macross LDs :cry:
