Hmm, half hour animated concert? I guess it's as close as I'll ever get to a Kira Kira anime. =/ I'd really need to finally play through the second game before I watch this, though.
Also, hey, Silver Link. That could be pretty good.
If I get a chance to go through Curtain Call before December and end up enjoying it, I'll definitely pick this up. I loved the music in the original Kira Kira, as well as the concert scenes (even in visual novel form they were exciting) so I'm sure I'd really like this.
Oh and I guess I should also be playing through Deardrops first too, gah. I'm so bad about actually getting through visual novels since I just don't have the time if I want to be able to keep up on anime.

I remember playing the demo for this game. To bad its not an adaptation.

This could be worth it. Someone should sub it, I hope?

Dear Drops was very interesting from what I played of it. Once I catch up on anime, I should resume my play through. Course, I never finished KiraKira either...But that was my fault for starting with the character I found the least interesting and thus sapping my motivation...

Which character was it? Was only 3 females in the game right? Rich girl, childhood friend and co-worker/ditz genius lead vocalist. I didnt like this cause the only true end was with the girl who was at the bottom of the list and her normal end was a total downer.

Which one, rich girl Sarina? Hers was definitely the least interesting of the three. Chie's is probably the best written in many ways, but Kirari's (both routes) had the biggest impact on me. I absolutely love Kirari.

Direct opposite for me, Kirari's story was to me the weakest one there was. Dad refuses to file for bankruptcy cause of his pride? And the mother going along with it all? Maybe that's a JP thing but I just dont see it.
Chie's story was ok but it sort of danced around her issues... never dealing with her issues directly. The male lead sort of just drifts around and never actively does anything, he gets dragged by that other girl to go see the the woman. His only role was to pass along info about Chie's dad waiting for her after graduation...

That's a very odd issue to have with the route. Nothing happened there that I haven't seen in real world news over and over.
Not really the thread to get into plot details though.

Yeah. Based on the common route my preference would be Chie followed closely by Kirari (and then Sarina I did not care for). Nowadays, I no longer start off with my least favorite (unless the game forces me to for whatever reason).
I resumed Dear Drops (damn VN backlog) so after I clear that maybe that will motivate me to finish up Kira Kira (and then buy the fan disc, lol). I fully intend to skip Rimu's path to avoid the same pitfall I had with Kira Kira.

For DearDrops there are only 2 real paths. The other 2 girls are very short and well frankly crap. No True route/ending thankfully. You can safely skip the other 2 girls and not miss anything.
And dang no one liked Sarina's back story/route? That had the most effect on me. /shrug

I didn't dislike it at all, and I really liked her specifically, I just liked the route less than the other two. I remember my overriding complaint was that for being the Sarina route, there... really wasn't a heck of a lot of Sarina to be found. Some of the side characters were good but I couldn't get as connected to Sarina herself, much as I wanted to.
Hmm, I think I'll start Curtain Call tonight. If it's as long as the original it's going to take a while, and it can take me months to go through even short visual novels, so I better get started now and maybe I'll be done before this releases in December. :sd:

Curtain Call is the fan disc for Kira right? Fan disc is short. really short (as is most fan discs). 2 stories... 1st one with entire new cast. Male lead is total prick imo. Your tastes may vary thou.
Also these are more like Kinect Novels. The choices dont mean jack, just different dialog. Doesnt effect visuals at all, so no need to replay anything to get new art.

Ah I figured it was another full visual novel. Ah well. I guess it'll be easier to finish in time then.

Well, I'm not you, you know? Also, I avoid spoilers for DD since I have yet to finish a route (going for Yayoi first).
