Riding the bus one day, Sakurakouji Sakura looks out the window to see people being burned alive with a blue fire as a boy her age remains unharmed and stands over the people. When she goes back to the site the next day, there are no corpses or evidence of any kind of murder, just a small fire. When Sakura goes to class, she discovers the new transfer student is the same boy she saw the day before. Sakura soon learns that he is Ogami Rei, the sixth "Code: Breaker," a special type of assassin with a strange ability and also a member of a secret organization that serves the government.

I started watching this and couldn't make it through the OP. The OP was generic as hell and everyone in it looked generic as hell. And its clearly a bishie show anyway so meh.

Sakurakouji, the school aikido star.
The mysterious transfer student Ogami Rei appears.
She sure was fired up about getting to the bottom of things.
Sakura vs G-Falcon. Not a smart thing.
Luckily, Ogami saved her...
A savior or a ruthless killer?
Guess we'll see next time.

Sakura spared... looks like Rei is not just a killer.
She was pretty scared of him at school.
Looks like that experience at the park really shook her up.
Sakura just can't figure him out and it's making her angry.
Her feelings toward him are mostly fear, anger and confusion.
The rare specimen thing sounds promising.

looks like Rei is not just a killer.
Unfortunately, with what was revealed at the end, I think he did intend to kill her, but couldn't. His character really pisses me off.

Sakura is a rather interesting character (and she's cute with a badass Hikasa Youko voice), but I'm not sure if I can stand her being jerked around by Rei, and probably by others later.

I was amused seeing Sakura's mom. She's got a motherly voice, but she kind of looks like she's younger than her daughter.

Having just watched Chuunibyou makes this far more amusing than it should be. Uh... nothing notable at all, really. Let's see if that changes...

Hey! Shouldn't someone question that guy? I'm pretty sure his actions are enough to warrant it by now. I think the fact that nobody else could imagine him being anything other than a saint is what will end up pissing me off the most.

The ever popular Sakura gets buried by confession letters LOL
The worst part is everyone thinks she's dating Ogami.
Guys in despair, girls in awe ROFL
Everyone seems to be getting the wrong idea about their relationship.
Sakura is a really got stalker. Always trying to catch Ogami in the act.
The part with the puppy was pretty emotional and kinda sweet.
Following him on a job was a unique experience for Sakura.
She's still too naive to see how the world truly operates.

Oh yeah, this anime was missing one thing: heterochromia. Good to see that's covered. Yep... this show.

Sakura meets Toki.
That Toki is a really good liar.
Ogami really can't stand that guy at all.
Toki vs Ogami was nice to watch ^^
Sakura may be the voice of reason sometimes, but she's also not a pushover.
It wasn't a really good idea for Sakura to go on a mission with Toki & Rei.

Well Toki is definitely pretty different from our established characters. Not a bad addition overall. I can't take too much more concentrated Ogami, so Toki was relatively refreshing.

So code breakers are working for the government after all..
Not much of a surprise though.
Sakura gets acquainted with the evil ways of humanity.
Very interesting episode with lots of action.

I guess it's kind of doing a decent job at making us unsure of what to think of the characters. Nakata guy at the end should be fun.

Sakurakouji thought all Code:Breakers were friends.
She was totally wrong about that, well, partially wrong.
Ogami's welcome to class surprise party was certainly a surprise.
Interesting how Ogami always takes Sakura with him on his missions.
Looks like not only classmates, but also some of his comrades care about him as well.
Most of all Sakura...

Whoa, my friend's house just burned down because of a cigarette like... right before the news report in this show would have aired. That was way too coincidental...

So Sakura met quite a few of Ogami's comrades.
Ogami in lost form wasn't looking good at all.
Toki's lost form on the other hand was really cute and LOL
All of them staying at Sakura's place... that was an interesting idea.
Well, at least all of them were having fun.
So Hitomi was the one behind it all.
Didn't think he would dare to attack Sakura's house with all 5 code breakers there.
Guess he thinks he's better then all of them.
Sakura making a stand was impressive! She really is a special one.

All the Code:Breakers of past and present, all gathered together to destroy Sakura's nice home. I was about to comment on having watched two shows in a row with little sisters introduced until she called her "Mother". Well I guess it makes sense that she's not surprised about Toki. He was quite amusing, by the way.

Yuuki's lost form was pretty cute ^^
Sakurakouji really is a special girl.
Hitomi is a seriously dangerous guy seeking revenge.
So Sakura was adopted. The circumstances of her appearance were intriguing.
Hope she'll get some answers about her background soon.
Hitomi has his own plan and it has just begun..
Heike was acting very suspicious too. Seems like he switched sides.

I like how cheerfully and nonchalantly Sakura tells Ogami that she was abandoned as a child and isn't actually related to her "family". Quite the gruesome way to join this family. It makes her current personality much nicer to see.

Also, Yuki's Lost form is appropriately adorable.

How did nobody ever think Heike was evil? He's the sketchiest motherfucker in this show. I could see him being the one to stay evil while Hitomi goes back to being good.

So Hitomi and Heike joined forces.
Hitomi sure is a smart one.
Looks like they took Sakura just so no one could use her against them.
Ogami is not as easily swayed as others.
Interesting turn of events.

A pretty nice backstory, from the beginning of Hitomi's time as a Code:Breaker to the present, with his plans to execute the prime minister all set, along with some terrorism that doesn't quite match his idealistic claims. At any rate, the use of the opening theme partway through the episode as the other Code:Breakers started their roles was pretty good. Not that it's a particularly good song, but using it in this way worked well enough.

It was nice seeing some new info mainly about Hitomi.
Actually, it explained a whole lot about his current way of thinking.
So much killing, so much death...
Seeing all that, it no wonder Heike joined his side.
Hitomi was like everyone's big brother, it was nice ^^
Guess he just wants to save them all from doing what they do.

Things are going out of control.
A lot has changed when compared to their younger days.
Difference in power between Ogami and Hitomi was very obvious.
Well, Hitomi's heart was in the right place, but his methods were wrong.
Toki vs Heike. That was a pretty cool fight.
Very interesting episode.

Obviously it's important for Sakura and Ogami to tell Hitomi how much of an idiot he's being, but the highlight for me was definitely Toki vs. Heike. Toki's immediate reaction to the situation and Heike's betrayal being hopes for promotion was great, and Heike's overall weirdness is honestly kind of fascinating to me. His bizarre voice, his creepy appearance (like Bakura from Yu-Gi-Oh! but even creepier), his hilarious Engrish, and ridiculous sparkle clones. Of course, Toki's criticism of particularly the last of these makes it far more enjoyable.

Just shut the fuck up, Hitomi. I never thought I'd like Ogami this much. Especially since his dark voice speaks in hilarious Engrish. It's particularly bizarre that they decided to have that laid over him saying the lines in Japanese. I assume that if FUNimation decides to release this on home video, they'll just have both voices speaking in English in different tones.

And Heike's a good guy after all. Damn. I really wanna love to hate that creepy motherfucker. At least it makes sense that nobody can trust him.

Wow, number five is really Celty with a head.

Oh, is next time the last episode? Didn't quite strike me as a one-cour show for some reason. Well I imagine it will be relatively open-ended, but it looks like they're at least heading to a decent stopping point now.

Hitomi's side vs code:breakers.
Those bombs were an act of a desperate man wanting to be heard.
It was amazing watching Hitomi be all cool and collected.
Hitomi did have a point. All of them were on the wrong side.
Looks like Heike was a double agent after all.
Hitomi vs Ogami, Heike, Yuki and Oji was very impressive!
Toki and the Prime minister situation was interesting as well.
Can't wait to see the next episode!

Looks like Ogami's powers have evolved.
He was dealing with Hitomi rather well considering.
It was awesome watching them fight!
Code: End wasn't pleasant to watch.
I felt sorry for Hitomi since he did have good intentions that went bad somewhere along the way.
That prime minster was truly a despicable guy.
In the end everyone scattered back to their areas.
Little puppy was cute ^^
Really good final episode.

Goddamn FUNimation is slow with this show. Well whatever, it was nothing special anyway. On top of being a painfully generic show in every regard, it gets a single cour from its long-running manga source, resulting in, worse than simply ending it with that arc, setting up to the next that may never actually materialize, begging its viewers to buy it so that they can do so. Of course, even if that does come to be, I know it will continue to be just as generic, so either way, I feel like it's a loss. And I'm sure if there is another season, it will end roughly the same way. Whatever, Code:Breaker. If there's another season down the line, I'll probably watch it anyway, but I'm certainly done with thinking about it anymore for now.

Valentine's day & White Day theme.
Sakura was really popular with the guys.
Ogami missed out 'cause of Sakura.
Toki bagged a pretty big amount of chocolates.
This ova was totally about choco and fan service.
Nyanmaru special was kinda fun to watch and LOL
