Although this release has been out for quite a while now, i only recently received it (due to mass impulse buy thanks to DDD coupons). I couldn't find any other mention of a glitch with this disc, so this is mostly a question at this point...
The only english track for this disc is DD 5.1. It's used quite well in several sequences, and sounds really full and enveloping in the first episode, exactly as it should. On episodes 2-4 however, the sounds seem to be more distant and although i think it's still 5.1 discrete channels it sounds less directional and, just really odd. I've not heard this phenomenon firsthand before, but i think it could be 'phase inversed'?
(i'm not too sure of exactly what that is, but i think this could be fixed if i reversed the connections on my speakers, plugging - to + and vice versa? Not that i'd want to go that far...
Is any part of this post ringing true with anyone?
Edit: Forgot to include my equipment. Onkyo DV-S525 player, TX-DS575 receiver. Works and sounds fine with just about every other disc i have (although i've some video & menu issues with the DVD player, but that's a question for the hardware forum).
