I really like how this show is turning out. I thought the first disc was okay but I kept reading about everyone's positive comments and how good the series gets. I am glad I stuck it out. This series has turned out to be one of my more anticipated releases.

Thanks to everyone on their well written comments on this series. I wouldn't have kept going if it wans't for your comments.

I was a fan since the first disc. Oh poor Eclair! I feel so bad for her. This release even had my "casual fan" friends (the ones whom I force to sit there with me and watch it) sitting there at the end with their mouths hanging wide open saying "That's it?!?!?! No More?!?!?!" hehehe. I loved it as well. Kudos for the great English track on this release. You all continue to amaze me. The hard part is that now it's almost going to be a 2 month wait until the next disc. NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! /images/graemlins/cry00000.gif

Well, now that the "kick you in the balls" episode is out on DVD, I may have to do some rentals and see if I can get into this show.

I was really impressed with the episodes on disk 4. I hope the episodes on the remaining disks remain as good.

I was finally able to find a disc with cards, so I know what I'll be doing very shortly! /images/graemlins/sweat000.gif I'm sure I'll enjoy this one more than the previous volumes, though...it just seems to get better and better with each volume!

Interesting, I didn't know there was a difference between the DVD and broadcast versions of Kiddy Grade, but it seems from the scene in episode 12, we were treated to Eclair's nipples, which weren't on TV.

Not only that, but Gonzo fixed some of the "engrish" problems, I believe.

Positive vote for me, great volume. Now that the big story is starting up, I'm liking the show even more. I agree with Chris, I would like to see more per volume, even with the 6-week release schedule, it doesn't seem to be enough... /images/graemlins/depresse.gif

The only 'Engrish' fix I've noticed is two episodes titles (although I haven't confirmed that the second is corrected on the DVD yet as it still hasn't arrived despite having ordered it two months ago.. it was still wrong on the preview from the preceding episode but is right on then official site)
As noted in the R2 forum there are other minor fixes - they've added some detail that was missing, although I've only got one example of this as I'm pretty unobservant and haven't watched the fansubs (or raw .avi's) in ages

I've been enjoying KG essentially for the eye candy until this disc, now I enjoying it for the plot as well. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

I agree. The story was pretty solid until now and the character designs are absolutely georgous.
I finally got my copy from media play(with the card!)
but this last disc had me on the edge of my seat.
I always wondered who this Eclair was I would always
see as the favorite female character in Newtype
month after month.I'm glad I decided to buy this.
Its frigging awsome!!!

Very positive! Kiddy Grade has found a home on my 'Top 10 Anime List', which is very difficult for a non-shoujo series (the only other non-shoujo on the list is Azumanga Daioh.)

I'm glad I am not the only one that thinks Dirty Pair whenever I see this series.

I really did like this series (especially Eclair) but I felt that story dropped off a tad at the end. I would have liked to see more of the history of GOTT and especially Armbrust and Mercredi/Vendredi.

The fact that Mercredi is romantically attached to Armbrust piques ones interest, but by the time one figures it out it's incidental to the story line at best. </span>

I finally got around to renting this popular title.
So, after all the build-up and hype, I'm still not impressed. I'm glad I've only been renting so far or I'd feel like I'd wasted my money on this series. Is there any reason for me to continue with this other than admiring Keiji Gotoh's character designs.

they're not Keiji Gotoh's character designs, so that's your only reason for watching gone. It was his wife, Megumi Kadonosono, who was the character designer. According to ANN, Gotoh only worked on ep. 21, which isn't out yet.

they're not Keiji Gotoh's character designs, so that's your only reason for watching gone. It was his wife, Megumi Kadonosono, who was the character designer. According to ANN, Gotoh only worked on ep. 21, which isn't out yet.

Its everything I like about Gotoh's designs, minus everything I hate about them.
