UPS CANADA SUSPENDS SERVICES DUE TO LABOUR ISSUES

For Canada domestic:

<ul type="square"> Effective immediately, UPS Canada is suspending all customer pick ups within Canada.
Packages already picked up will be delivered but may experience some delays.
Delivery guarantees on shipments sent within, to or from Canada are suspended.
For Canada imports:

<ul type="square"> At the present time, UPS Canada will continue to deliver UPS Worldwide Express, UPS Worldwide Expedited and UPS Standard to Canada. Customers may experience some delays.
In the event of a work stoppage, delivery guarantees on all import shipments will be discontinued and UPS Standard service into Canada will be suspended. UPS will continue to accept UPS Worldwide Express and UPS Worldwide Expedited.
This labour situation affects UPS Canada operations only and will have no effect whatsoever on UPS operations outside of Canada.

Since ADV uses the UPS mailers, who knows when your return disc will get to Texas?

If TAS is right (not that I have any reason to doubt him), you'd be hit with UPS's obscene customs handling pricing anyway, even if it is just a defective product replacement.

The last ADV replacement I did was Hoshi no Koe, and IIRC it was shipped back to me via UPS, no customs fee. Don't remember to clearly...

If you get hit with customs tariffs, then they're not doing their job properly. A disc replacement for a defective product shouldn't be charged according to international trade laws.

I received my Hoshi no Koe by regular postal mail with no customs fees.

Though I did get another replacement from Bandai via Purolator and it did not get customs fees either.

I agree with Skywise - customs fees should not happen for replacements.

I sent it just the past Friday, what great timing i had.

I guess I could try go back to the mailing center and hope it's still there.

Purolator does not the assholic rules as UPS. Even FedEX doesn't. UPS is in an league of their own. Brokerage fee &amp; customs fee! And their brokerage is stupid anyways!

This explains the delay in one of my orders.

I agree it shouldn't, but this is UPS Canada we are talking about here. I have no problems with UPS domestic shipping, but I always go with something else for anything overseas.

It's only UPS ground that has the stupid rules and excessive fees.

Shipping UPS express from the US to Canada is sane.

I just sent my defective disc right after the UPS dispute. As of last night, it's still in Concord... I really hope I don't get hit with custom fees.

But, I found something a tad funny when I was tracking my package. Appearantly, it says that there are multiple packages of two being sent out. The first is obviously my glitched disc and the other unknown package has a completely different number as sent out as well. This is really strange and I'm wondering if someone had this occurrence before.

One of my package has that same problem too. I emailed UPS and they fixed it next day by assigning it with a new tracking number.

right now both package (Eva and Rah) are shown as in transit with estimated delivery time of Dec. 3rd.

1. I have done an ADV return via UPS in the past (i.e. Voices of a Distant Star) and there were no customs fees in either direction.

2. This time and last time for some reason there was an error where the package had 2 tracking numbers. (I only put 1 sticker on it.) So each time I phoned UPS and they gave me a new tracking number.

Uh oh, I just gave them my address for Evangelion Platinum Volume 1! They took about 27 days to reply (the slowest reply I've ever had!). Oh well...

EDIT: Oh, is it for only going to US, not coming to Canada?
