In Summary:
Though this volume is frustrating in that nearly two episodes are recap oriented the second half of things more than makes up for it with some great action, lots of revelations and plenty of set up for the second half of the series. It's usually at this point in the series that things start to really accelerate and the characters start defining themselves instead of letting the actions of others define them so it's interesting to see how it's all moving into place. Good stuff overall and just a lot of fun to watch.

While the recaps are annoying, episodes 29 and 30 are among the best in the show, so definitely positive.

Positive, after the recap doing setup for the 2nd half, the escape form Orb eps are very intense as good friends on both sides make the ultimate sacrifice and are harbringers of events to come

I can't wait to get this and volume 7 /images/graemlins/catgirl0.gif. Gundam SEED turned out to be my favorite out of all the Gundam series. The characters are much more realistic and have realistic motivations and reasons for doing things imo. I can even understand why the characters I hate and can't stand do the things they do. That right there can make all the difference between a good and bad anime

Ah.. so R1 finally passed Kira's 28th episode of whining. That's nice. /images/graemlins/sweat000.gif With that, I give it a positive now.

"KIRRRAAA!!!" vs. "ATHRUN!!!!!" Haha, I love that scene. I have yet to hear the dub for itsince I have yet to pick up 6 but for those who has, how was it done? Did it sound good or crappy because I love that part in the japanese dub.

I feel the same way, though I have seen all the UC stuff that's come out in R1 so far. The episodes at the end of 7 all the way through volume 9 are godly. My only beef at all is the last two episodes try to wrap up too much too fast, but that seems to happen quite often in Gundam.

Positive all the way!

I had to go neutral on this. While the latter episodes were pretty good, the initial clip shows were pretty off-putting. I could have done without them.

Still loving the show overall though. /images/graemlins/happy.gif

True it could have been done without them but look at the next 3 episodes. Actually episode 27 was needed but 26 was not. If you haven't seen the show yet, you're understand later. But just the next 3 episode alone were emotionally driven along with the action.

As I have said numerous times, Gundam SEED continues to be my favorite Gundam show ever. I don't know what it is but the characters just seem much more realistic to me than any previous Gundam. Anyway, another fantastic volume /images/graemlins/catgirl0.gif. It just keeps getting better and better. It sucks to find out that Cagalli and Kira are related though. I was hoping that they would hook up, oh well.. Ouch!! Is all I can say about Nicol (basically getting chopped in half and then his head exploded) & Tolle (getting decapited & having limbs severed by a giant flying shield) deaths /images/graemlins/stunned1.gif. Wow, what painful ways to go.

I know, I know, I'm behind... just finished this disc and on to 7. The big surprise for me was that... Nicol's a guy? Really? Must've missed that...

I also hate when the new intro spoils stuff for you... I mean, one character is blatantly missing in the new intro, so what do you think is going to happen?
