The lack of people posting here makes me sad /images/graemlins/depresse.gif. BTW, for everyone that has seen this volume, here is something that'll help you understand things a bit better.
Hyoga's master in the manga is Camus. The Crystal Saint is a filler character, of which the series have a lot, since StS was the fastest SJ manga to become animated, thus they had to add filler since the manga was way too recent. The Hades ova corrected this bit and shows Hyoga's past with Camus as his teacher. This will help you understand why Hyoga acts like that in front of him (it's too weird he'd act that way in front of someone he just met)

The long, irregular waits between Saint Seiya volumes is what makes me sad.

The only real long wait was from 8 to 9 which was four months, the rest has been either 6 to 8 weeks for the most part.

There is not a single volume of anime I want more then this. I can't even pre-order it anymore because I hate not having it the day it comes out. I'd rather spend a few more dollars at Best Buy then wait.

Besides the gap between 9 and 10, it's been fine with me. I just hope there isn't a large gap between 12 and 13 or whatever they decided to call volume 13 when/if they do it. Please ADV!

Ah, the four month gap weighted heavily on my perceptions, and I definitely don't like such a long series starting to have 8 weeks' wait instead of 6.

I just finished watching Volumes 8 and 9 (I can rent them where I live) and I really like this show. I don't know why, everything seems so predictable but there is something about this show that really draws me in. Plus, I think the character design looks better looking then the fugly manga designs.

I don't mind the wait so much. What does naw at me though is this little thought (or fear) in the back of my head, that the series will get dropped before it's finished. At this point I'm sort of desperate and would be happy to get all of Sanctuary.... but what I really want is everything!(even if it takes 10 years)
Perhaps they could build the fan base by releasing Hades, or some movies; which have higher animation quality (to catch those who are put off by the series age).

It's hard to imagine a show getting dropped after 12 discs, has that happened before?

If that happens, I would hope they would at least do some sort of "value" release for the rest of it, maybe just the Japanese track with a ton of episodes packed onto each volume or something along those lines.

Well, to be fair, the artwork in the manga improves a lot as it goes on. The Poseidon and Hades arcs look great in the manga (especially the Hades arc). Of course, can't be compared to the artwork found in the Hades ova and Tenkai Hen movie, which look stunningly beautiful.

But look at the evolution of the characters, and see how much the drawings changed:

Now that I've seen volume 10, I'll say that's it's the best yet. These eps had it all. Like always, the Shiryu eps were by far my favorites. Can't wait for vol 11.

Just got to watch this last night and loved it, just like every volume before it. Plenty of good fights scenes with Shiryu. Nice to see him finally get his vision back!. And the romantic interlude episode with Shiryu and Shunrei was an unexpected and pleasant surprise.
I agree so much with Chris, I need to see the next volume now. This is one of those shows I could sit down and marathon all 10 released volumes at once. ADV hasn't even announced volume 12 yet, so I think it may be a bit soon to start speculating as to whether or not ADV will finish all of the series, but I hope and believe they will.

I'm glad the manga art improves.. I have the first five in japanese and have been getting the viz releases as they come out strictly to get more of the story and background, but the art pains me /images/graemlins/sweat200.gif So I shall definitely be looking forward to the later vols.
As for the anime^^ I've been looking forward to the sanctuary eps since the show was licensed.... The gold saints are among my favorites^^ Liisu ~ trying to be less of a lurker
