I've only sampled this disc on my computer, but I noticed a series of video glitches on all 4 episodes of this show. In the preview, after the title of the next episode is scrolled onto the screen, I noticed a shift on the main logo. Have anyone seen this?

Do you mean glitch as in the little lines that appear whenever there's fast movement across the screen? I HATE that. I have high-end player so maybe it's picking up TOO much resolution. No idea.

I've seen the first 2 ep. on dvd but I skipped through the previews. I'm going to watch the rest today so if I see it I'll post back hear.

I just looked at both angles on the previews (using the ol' Puter, PowerDVD), and they look fine to me. The English version has a blur effect they use on the logo after the title pops up, but it's not a video error.

I'm guessing what you're seeing are artefacts from interlacing, which are pretty common to anime (and animation) DVDs in general.

If you're watching it on a progressive display (i.e. computer monitor or HDTV) then it's just a deinterlacing artefact. This is not a real 'glitch' in the way the word is used on this forum.

Well if he's watching it on a computer a screenshot should easily enough show what kind of artifact it is. Interlacing is very easy to recognize that way.

I watched the whole disc today including all previews, OPEDs, etc and saw no such glitch. Unless you're referring to how the logo suddenly gets blurry for an instant, I think that that is just part of the normal animation.

well, I compared my disc to what CN was airing and noticed a couple differences. First, CN shows the ages in English as "Edward: 15 Alfonse: 14", where as the English dub on the disc has the kanji with translation above. Second, at the commerical break, CN shows the english FMA logo in the lower right of the screen, where as the Disc has the Japanese logo. And finally, in the CN version, the FMA logo during the preview episode name stays static with no flash highlight, where the disc does do that flash/relocation thing. However, it has been a recent episode I'm comparing this too. And I did notice the flash/blurriness of the FMA logo during the preview title did get reduced the further into the episode count you went on the disc. One other thing was that the CN episodes showed town names and such in English, where again, the disc did the kanji / translation.

Just my set of observations.. milage will vary on what others think/care. /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

That's not a glitch - that's just editing for TV, and doesn't really belong in this kind of thread.

Can someone instruct me on how to take a screen shot, because whenever I what the disks I get pissed when I see this certain jump, on both volumes no less /images/graemlins/relief1.gif. It happens in the trailers as well as the feature. I know for sure I saw it in the Gunsling Girl trailer. Whatever the case, glitch or not, it's really damn annoying /images/graemlins/anger200.gif.
