I just finished this today. I liked this book more than I did the origin Maniac Road series. I'm not really sure why I like it though, maybe the character interactions are improved. It seems to be most similar to Genshiken, though without any boys in the club so far, or any romantic relationships involved, so the group dynamics are different in those respects. It almost seems to be an all-girl's school, the only way I know otherwise was remembering that the president of the neighboring club is a guy.

Very enjoyable, and I thought Jarred's grading is pretty accurate. Recommended.

I liked this series and I'm thinking of getting Maniac Road because how this one ended, just to find out how it all started. With the ending as it is, does this mean there'll be another series?

I liked Maniac Road better than this although Pretty Maniacs is by no means bad. Volume 2 is a bit stronger.

Maniac Road didn't work as well for me. But at any rate, PM 2 was definitely better than the first volume. While hardly an objective quality measure, I really don't remember the last manga where I laughed as often. It is unfortunate that both series were so short.
