Yeah, that's the original clamshell release. Old ADV releases were in clamshells and they were using colored tapes before switching to slipcase boxes like everyone else.

I saw in the Sailor Stars auction someone made that the Stars manga is currently up to $57. Is it really that rare and hard to find? I have all of the original comics, and the manga for SuperS and Stars. Maybe I should put them on ebay.

The Sailor StarS one is, I believe. The other two sets may also be out of print.

FYI, I saw ONE volume of the StarS manga up in the Amazon marketplace for almost $150. /images/graemlins/stunned0.gif Much as I'd like to finish off my set, damned if I'm paying that much for them.

Yeah, people are starting to get retarded with some of those auctions, especially videogame ones($150 for Gitaroo Man?). They put up a high price in hopes of making it the norm in order for their own stuff to sale, then they add in "VERY RARE!!," "RAREx10," etc, etc... /images/graemlins/relief1.gif

The Evangelion and Gasaraki boxes were official and limited. They were sold only thru ADV and Rightstuff websites. He will not make anymore because of the agreement with adv to make them. That is why they are hard to find now.

Yeah, I was the one who bought it. Ended up getting bit in the ass, too. My bid-sniping backfired on me...hehe. At the last minute I threw down a bid with a maximum price of like $105.00, cause I figured no one would even come close. Yeah...I barely won that, and wasn't all that amused at close of auction. I think they already know that as they are selling the english translated version of Clamp no Kiseki each box with chess pieces at $40 MSRP!

Right now I believe they are up to volume 6, 7, or 8. I wouldn't doubt by volume 12 they will offer this as well.

I think they already know that as they are selling the english translated version of Clamp no Kiseki each box with chess pieces at $40 MSRP!

Right now I believe they are up to volume 6, 7, or 8. I wouldn't doubt by volume 12 they will offer this as well.
