The dub for this show continues to be an enjoyable ride, as this is my second time going through the series. As crazy as the show already is, the script and acting is excellent as the responses to many situations are very accurate/appropriate in relation to who the character is in that particular scene, such as Kirie where she really lays into Fukuyuma each and every time, always indicating how irritated she gets with him.

Koyomi and Miharu were actually my favorites of the girls in this show. Koyomi is a shy, but very sweet girl, and at the same time, you quickly find out what her fear is. And of course, it doesn't help that Fukuyama is always lurking. Wonderful work by Carrie for Koyomi. Sounds like she had to do a lot of wimpering and crying for Episode 5, with poor Koyomi getting exposed to the perversion of Fukuyama.

Tomoka is a girl that tries to act older than she is, since she wants to show off her skills. J-Ray's voice for Tomoka basically says, "I may look small to you, but don't underestimate me and my skills!" It caught me by surprise hearing that voice come out of her, but it makes sense though since the girl does have attitude, and she gives off the more adult in a child's body than the cutesy little girl feel to her.

Haven't had a chance to capture clips from the other episodes yet. I'll try to add more later.

AWESOME!!!

I luv the coy/teasy girly-ness of all the vocals.

can't wait for my copy.

Now where're the DearS dubs? /images/graemlins/cool.gif

...

you know, am I the only one getting reminded of the classic Tenchi-OVA rapport/vibe from GB with all the competing girls' vocals? Like the famous Petrea-vs-Jennifer-vs-Ellen verbal bitch-fights?

That summed up the dub on this volume for me. I only watched as far as episode 3 on eh-eh-eh, so I never got to see Koyomi until now.

WAAAAAAYYYYY too adorable. You just want to hold her (and not in a Fukuyama way either /images/graemlins/devil.gif).

Finished Vol. 2 this morning

Vol. 2 was a wonderful treat to watch. Michelle and Yuri are both did a fantastic job bringing the Miharu/Yukinari relationship full circle in Ep. 6 and Michelle continues to be sugary-sweet without overdoing it. Not that much of Hunter (which royally bugged me), but a great start for Carrie as Koyomi, who completely outdoes Miharu in the cuteness factor. I swear her flashback voice gave me a cavity. Saving the best for last, Liam stole every single scene he was in this volume, getting his nastiest ever in Ep. 5 with Carrie. A big round of applause for everyone in Ep. 8. Everyone was just amazing in that.

P.S. Liam must win for Fukuyama in the September awards. It will be a sin against humanity if he doesn't.

I just watched this disc last night and loved it. "Behomd the power of cleavage and panda suits!" Lulu Chiand is just brilliant as Kirie. Another line that made me laugh out loud was during the seige on the grocery store. I'm not 100% sure, but it's think it's T. Axelrod on the rooftop. "What do you see?" "It's all pink! Everywhere! A seething ocean of pink!" And yes, Liam steals the show as Fukuyama, especially in this episode.

Great work by Carrie Savage and J-Ray and everyone else. I was especially happy to hear Robin Rhodpa salivating over Kirie once agian. Oh, so good...

So I finally watched vol-2 and...

It's all about Fukuyama in this volume. Liam completely 0wn3d in this volume!

Only Liam can pull off an over-the-top perverted aristocratic lecher and still not be overactingly annoying. Every Fukuyama-line was just excellently delivered.

Way to go, dude!

Hopefully, TRSI or Geneon gets Comic Party ~Revolution~ and you get to re-voice Taishi.

As an aside, all the Bravo-girls ( i hereby dubbed them Bravettes) and Yuri (especially in his depressed Yukinari mode) were just damn excellent and continues to keep making GB such a great R1-purchase (less video-issues than vol-1) and still a great treat listening to the english-dubs. The Bravettes are just perfect with the known extreme-fanservicey character-designs. JAWESOME, i say! /images/graemlins/cool.gif

Can't wait for the rest.
