Dub by Bang Zoom!, directed by Kirk Thornton, script by Kirk Thornton and Michael McConnohie.

This is easily one of the goofiest shows I've seen this year. It has plot holes big enough to pilot a submarine through but I'm danged if I don't feel genuine affection for it.

It has a huge and talented cast: Johnny Yong Bosch is the male lead, neophyte pirate Gram, while Melissa Fahn is the military girl determined to catch him, Vess. Bosch's performance is very fun and playful, while Fahn is very formal but with burning passions (no, not that kind... maybe) underneath.

Of supporting performances, my favorites where Brianne Siddal's Bon (immaculate as usual) and Yuri Lowenthal's Junior (a trainwreck of a teenager.)

This dub is simply fun.

Hmm, this show flew right in under my radar. Hafta add it to netflix. I havent heard Melissa Fahn in anything new in quite some time. After plowing through the El Hazard OVAs (one of my new favorite shows) I've been looking forward to hearing more of her.

Vess's voice is too high pitched.

In my opinion at least.

Good dub though.

Elizabeth ROCKS.

Ok so I've finaly watched the first couple of episodes. This show is goofy as hell, but enjoyable. More so with the dub. I notice its a union dub. Crispin Freeman and Melissa Fahn? Nice. Barbara Goodson not playing another old lady? Nice. Colleen O'Shaughnessey? Other than Naruto and a bit part in Spirited Away, I've only heard her in video games. Cool. Very fun all around.

Lately she's playing in the TV broadcast series, Zatch Bell and in Ghost In The Shell: SAC as one of the Tachikomas. Here on Mars Daybreak it's one of the few roles I've ever heard Melissa play using her normal voice (without pitching it high to sound childish as with Alielle in El-Hazard or even Ed on Cowboy Bebop).

I would have to guess that she went all union just like Bridget Hoffman and Crispin Freeman. I think her Love Hina and Vandread roles might be pretty close to her normal speaking voice.

No kidding! I love this dub. And Enora (my favorite character <3) sounds simply perfect. A fun dub for a really fun show. Personally I would've cast Crispin Freeman as Aki rather than as Vestemona's comrade-in-arms, though.

The best part about the series (and the dub) is that every single character is certifiably insane.

That would explain Vess' fairy tale hair doo.
