So I'm guessing the first box hold only 4 volume? I'm definitely in for one. If the figure looks really awesome, I might want to get both but I don't want to buy 2 boxset and get 2 volume thougm.

I'm just curious as to whether these will be Viz shop exclusives, or if they are going to get a widescale release at the bookstores and comic book shops. They weren't offered in Previews, so it makes you wonder.

TRSI is listing them, which is hopeful at least. It's possible they'll get a late solicitation through Diamond.

I want pictures before I decide to keep my book-only preorder or go with one or the other. I probably won't be getting both unless they're really spectacular figures - I have far too many FMA figures as it is.

Hnn, I don't have any of the manga yet, but if the Ed figure looks cooler than the gashapon I've got, I might wind up with volume four. My friend is going to go for Al since she's happy with her Ed.

Too bad TRSI didn't list them during the sale, since I have the regular vol. 4 on pre-order. I guess I need to cancle that volume.

I'd still be a little leary about ordering from either. I've had bad experiences ordering limited editions from amazon. Better off ordering cross-border. Too bad amazon's got a good price going for these pre-orders. Maybe it'll end up sitting in 'My Orders' for months like my $47 copy of Appleseed LE w/ figure... :/

(FYI, amazon's descriptions don't tell you which are which, but they use the same sku's as chapters, so I just did a compare, and used chapters title to figure out amazon's)

Well I too will pre-order this at the usual place I always buy my anime/manga but only if I like the figures, and they have to be alot better than the big two action-figures of Ed (http://www.animecastle.com/catalog/models/figures-toys/fullmetal-alchemist-figures/p_ac-80560.html) and Al (http://www.animecastle.com/catalog/models/figures-toys/fullmetal-alchemist-figures/p_ac-80561.html) that I already have.

I'm not double-dipping to get both figures, but I am planning on picking up one of these box sets as soon as I can. Hopefully, we'll get pictures of the figures soon.

The vol 4 with figures were listed in a recent Diamond Update [Previews Plus], so comic shops can order them. There was a picture of the boxes, but not the actual figures.
