Being what it was required to prove (http://www.animeondvd.com/news/article.php?article_view=455).
I enjoyed Yumeria. It's a fun show, and I like the dub. Chris Patton's doing solid work, as usual, and I'm very happy to hear Monica Rial and Nancy Novotny in this one. I think they both have some great lines. I'm also enjoying Brittney Karbowski's performance as Mone. I haven't heard too much of her work yet, but she's doing good stuff with this character. It's definitely a performance I'll be paying attention to as the series progresses. Right now what I like most about the Yumeria dub is how much we get to listen to each of these actors. It's such a small cast that all of them get a lot of screen time. Everybody's doing good work, so it's a fun time all around.
As far as the core show goes, I think it's funny material but a tad disappointing. Right now the whole plot feels a little too pat for me. The whole situation with the dream world and the Faydoom doesn't feel well enough established to really justify the requisite suspension of disbelief. It sets up a lot of humor, and I think the show works on that level, but right now I think they've introduced such a fantastic setting that (moderate Yumeria spoiler)by the fourth episode they ought to be providing a little more direct conflict and setting detail than this. Maybe not too much more, but I hope the next volume turns away from the jokes and fanservice to fill in some more plot.
