I've been a little lax when it comes to clipping FMA in the past. Figured everyone would have just caught in on the boob tube and that it would be a little silly posting clips from something most of you watched 5-6 months back.

That practice stops now.

One of the most ambitious dubs of all-time, Mike McFarland, Colleen Clinkenbeard and FUNimation have gone overboard assembling an expansive and varied assemblage of talent. Seemingly no market for dub talent has been deemed untouchable.

You want to hear people from Fort Worth, Houston, New York City or Los Angeles? You'll hear 'em in FMA. Heck, you may even stumble across a Canadian with enough time and patience.

And it's not that these people are being thrown together in some hodgepodge of A-List talent for no reason. These people are being cast well... and the tandem direction between Mike & Colleen has been beyond reproach. This isn't gimmick casting... not at all. In fact, this is one of the best direct-to-TV dubs you'll encounter that isn't named Wolf's Rain or Digimon Tamers. Even should it not win for Best Dub this month or in November, for it to go unrecognized for its entire run would be an outright shame.

Want some reasons why? Here are several:

Just a small spelling correction, but that should be "Juli Erickson". /images/graemlins/wink.gif

FMA's one of the few things I can vote on this month, so I'll probably check out some of those clips to refresh my memory of the particular episodes up to vote.

My god, watching last night's episode was crazy, dubwise. Featuring Chris Patton, Greg Ayres, Vic Mignogna, Luci Christian, and Christine Auten, you'll hear Christopher Sabat and think he's doing ADV dubs. /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

I didn't konw about any LA talent being in FMA, but I do know who'll be playing Ed and Al's dad. He even said so at Anime Boston. Just shows how good FMA really is.

Now I wonder who'll be in the movie. Watch, we'll hear Maile Flanagan somewhere. /images/graemlins/cry00000.gif

You missed Tiffany Grant, who voiced one of Greed's lackeys in last night's episode. /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

Finally! A commentary with Vic and Aaron!

Caitlin Glass continues to make a strong performance here, heck, esspecially with the first clip, (giggles). But I just can't get enough of her line in vol. 3, the "Whee!" noise. I'll never get tired of that one.

This is really becoming a surprise, I missed out on th CN airings, so I'm still quite shocked on how good of series this is.

Yay Caitlin Glass clips /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif! That first one is probably my favorite performance of the disk.

I really love how this series give the actors a chance to be absolutely comedic, and then so serious you want to ball your eyes out.
