I was wondering what everyone thought of Twin Spark Girls. It sounded intersting when i looked at it in the Right Stuff catalog, but the store i ordered it from can't seem to get it. I want to know what people think of it before i go to any lengths to find a copy. And whata re some other good straight hentai manga.

Twin Spark Girls is highly entertaining, but incomplete. All of the books by Yukio Yukimino are funny and disturbing at the same time. In the author's notes between each story you get to see a bit of his personality shine through. Stuart Young and the editors deserve cookies for their translation work on these parts. For example in Dimples Down Below there's one (of many) that says:

[ QUOTE ]
From time to time, I find waitresses and hair stylists sweeping the ground in front of their shops, and I really like to watch them... a lot. The streets are filled with all kinds of trash, and they're sedulously sweeping...oooh no bad at all! I just stand there and watch them, especially when they're wearing deep V-necks, 'cause I get to take a peak at their cleavage! I even start to walk back and forth on the street, hoping that they won't get suspicious. But when the woman has long hair, it spoils the fun. 'Cause sometimes her hair tumbles down and ends up blocking my sight when I try to watch them from the side. So, the best position is to approach them from the front. My dream is to help them sweep by holding the dustpans right in front of them. And I'd secretly keep dropping trash around her so that she'd never stop sweepin, flashing her cleavage right in front of my eyes!

There's more, but you get the idea. Dimples Down Below, Pheremone Street Corner, Fair Skinned Beauty, and Bombshell Boobies are all entertaining in ways they shouldn't be.

For good all around you might want to try Rhapsody and Sheila's Diary by Yuuki Ryoh. Sheila's Diary is a three book story while Rhapsody is one book with 5 short stories. They both have different focuses. Rhapsody is a bit stranger, but also more entertaining IMO. It does contain rape and incest though in case those are not your cup of tea. Sheila's Diary also contain rape.

Co-ed Sexxxtasy is a good story of a college couple that has nice clean artwork and a decent plot.

Slut Girl is actually one of the few "female empowered" hentai manga that you will run across despite the title. After the first chapter there's no question that Sayoko is the one in charge whenever something going down involving sex and those that do not obey her pay the price in their end.

Blue Eyes which is currently being released by Icarus Publishing is the ultimate in big breast manga. The story is about Maria and Tatsuya who make a promise that they will stay faithful to each other which Maria has to move away. After three years they meet again and attempt to renew their relationship however there are a few women after Yatsuya now. This one is a pretty long running manga in Japan. Actually I believe it's still running with volume 8 just being released in September.

Innocence, which is also being released by Icarus, is a collection of stories that run the gamit. Dick girls and school girls and school girl dick girls and so on. It's much better than I'm making it sound though... even if you don't generally like dick girls. I'd say give this one a try since there is a good chance that you will find something you like from it. It also helps that Red Light Manga (comics one/dr master) isn't doing hentai anymore and Eros hasn't released a graphic novel for a while. /images/graemlins/happy.gif

There's more I would like to suggest, but these should be good for starters. Other titles like Hot Tails, Bondage Fairies, Silky Whip, and Super Taboo are classics and I'm sure others will be able to elaborate on them.

Yukio Yukimino's works are not just the bed of Red Light's catalogue, they are also the best hentai GN's yet released in America. Think of 'Boys Be' with sex and you get the idea. Funny stories, cute girls, great art. All four volumes are highly recommended (if you can find them...they go for good $$ on ebay these days)

Slut Girl is also very good (and easy to find due to the rerelease). Much of Eros catalogue is a bit too gonzo for this reader, but I like Slut Girl because despite the fact it has great sex, the characters and story are interesting and the art is fantastic. Also highly recommended (plus it is complete in one volume).

Just because they are classics doesn't mean they are good /images/graemlins/depresse.gif

Bondage Fairies is the ultimate in gross-out hentai. Lots of sex between girls and insects (yes, you read that correctly). And the art isn't even that good. It does nothing for me save gross me out...

Silky Whip is by Oh! Great, which means the art is fantastic. But the stories have no soul, and are far less interesting than the work of Yukio Yukimino for instance. I'd maybe pick up a single volume of the comic for curiosities sake.

Hot Tails and Super Taboo...well I only own a few copies of the monthly versions but my feeling is just that the art is either just bad or just too dated to be relevant any more...

I'm bias on Bondage Fairies since I got to hang out with Kondom (he's a cool guy) so I'll let some of your comments slide. I can agree that it's big on the gross out factor, however it's probably one of the most unique titles to come out in America. You can't compare Bondage Fairies to anything else that has been released since.

What more do you need!!! /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif Again I have a strong bias for Oh! Great manga and artwork, however I don't know if you can say all of the stories are boring. "Blue" the story from Volume 3 and Volume 4 was very unusual with an interesting ending. September Kiss also had a very unique spin on the old "she is our pet" angle.

Hot Tails is Toshiki Yui who loves to use 3DCG models mixed in with his 2DCG artwork so that leads to an aquired taste. Also it was early 90s when it was first made so the hair is out of place, but you can't tell me you didn't like the Stalker Santa Clause or the story with the Identical Twins that could feel each other's pleasure. Hot Tails contains what is probably the closest in story styles to Twin Spark Girls. It's not exactly the same since it's a collection of short stories, but has a similar style of quirky humor with very few "gross out" situations.

Super Taboo I would not called dated artwork. It is very simple artwork with clean lines. Simple and clean is a nice departure from the works of Oh! Great and Zero no Mono. It reminds me a lot of RaTe's work (although Oogami Wolf predates RaTe /images/graemlins/tongue.gif )

Eros picked some fairly bizarre stuff to introduce the West to ero-manga. /images/graemlins/stunned0.gif Anyway, I will at least recommend one of their titles, Sexhibition, which is from pretty much my favorite artist, Suehirogari. Light, humorous stories, with themes of public exposure and mild, generally consensual bondage. I wish someone would bring over Circle. /images/graemlins/noseblee.gif

I'd like to add that Sheila's Diary has a very good happy yuri ending. Think Kannaduki no Miko with hardcore explicit yuri.

Heh! Lots of yuri. /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif Actually, it's pretty good if the forced masturbation and domination aspects don't bother you. Generally the tone is of the "No I don't want to but I can't stop myself, and I'll be back tomorrow of my own free will for more" variety.

Wow, talk about reviving a moldy thread. :P But yeah, I'd highly recommend Bondage Fairies (despite Libertus's discouraging comments uptopic). After a little effort, I recently got the complete series run (including the Bondage Fairies Extreme pamphlets, which Eros never collected in book form), and enjoyed it thoroughly. Pfil is such a sexy little thing. :neko:

Well it seems france doesnt want to license his/her bondage stuff in the u.s. so I might as well pick up more s&m domestically then to go along with the ikenie fujin series :susel:
