Damn I'm weak, just ordered Shuffle Volume 1 from Yesasia, price was the same as getting it from CD Japan, just with no added customs bonus /images/graemlins/happy.gif I'll probably order the second volume at the end of the month. I was also, got the first 3 volumes and the "box". I had to stop though to catch up on r1 series. I might get vol 4 though, for the tasty Anemone cover, but since the r1 release seems really close, there's not much of a reason to continue. It's a series that I want subtitles for anyway.

I wasn't going to buy any more R2 DVDs but I couldn't help myself when I found the special editon of Yukikaze vol 5 with box and soundtrack in a second hand DVD-shop a few weeks ago.

The fact that one of the hotel cleaners at a hotel I stayed at during a stopover in Malaysia stole the 4 previous DVD:s when I returned to my country earlier this year sort of makes it meaningless though, unless I buy them again. Which sucks... /images/graemlins/cry00000.gif

How would that work? Boxes and Limited Editions are designed to make MORE profit, which could be funneled into such ventures as extra episodes. If somebody needed more profit sequeezed from a release and there's a big enough demand to produce extra episodes, artboxes and limited edition items would yield extremely high profit margins because the costs of production (illustration, artbox material, plastic, etc) are low.

Popularity has nothing to do with LE or Box releases. Pretty Cure, One Piece, Gash Bell, etc and so forth are all extremely popular but do not have boxes or LE releases. In general it's the less popular or more targeted series that get more LE trinkets and boxes.
