Sorry, I don't have a contribution./images/graemlins/shy00000.gif I do have the Japanese Get Backerstankubon. This has nudity, ultraviolence and a lot of sexual innuendo. Since I'm in Japan, I haven't had a look at the US release of this series.

Has GB the manga been edited?

Actually, the US release does not have detailed nudity. No nipples--which seems to be 'edit'-point for most American releases. I was under the impression that Getbackers was like Akamatsu, Sgt. Frog, etc meaning no detailed nudity in the Japanese version either.

Well, I've never heard of any complaints about GB's content beyond the way Tokyopop handled some 'slang' terms in the first couple volumes of the series. Also, TP has a general 'no-editing' policy, so I'm pretty sure that the US edition of GB has been released edit-free. /images/graemlins/happy.gif

Yeah, there is a translated note from the artist saying that he can get away with the nudity he does show if he doesn't draw the nipples. So I presume that no nipples were removed for the US version because there were none to begin with.

Though I should have been more specific about nudity vs. hentai-style detailed nudity.
