I can't help but wish Samurai Champloo had more to it than the “find money, end up in trouble, repeat routine. The characters are a likeable bunch and the scrapes they get themselves into are admittedly great fun to watch, but to carry the series for a full 26 episodes I think there'll need to be a change in direction sometime soon. This is still a good show, but it's going to find it hard keeping the attention if it simply sticks to the same formula.

Heh, just wait til the UK release catches up and gets volume 6 with the baseball episode /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

FWIW this is one of the series of the year for me.

It's very much a "find money, spend/lose money, find money again" type show. But then again, so was cowboy bebop.

Yeah, but Bebop took some good detours away from the formula stories - like the Spike / Vicious / Julia stories, and the ones dealing with Faye beginning to re-discover her past. Champloo's sort-of promising that sort of story, but it hasn't delivered on the promise. Yet.
