Since I never picked up the R1 disc (due to Dreamworks subtitle screw-up and inability to get recognizable fixed discs into stores) I was going to pick up the recent R2 Japan disc with English subs, but now that I am on a R3 HK kick... if anyone gets this soon, please post impressions. I will probably buy this myself when I am back in NYC Chinatown for New Year's Eve.

I got mines in the mail today. I watched only 10 minutes of it but from what I seen the subtitles are very good as if those subtitles were from the Japanese R2 but I wouldn't know since I don't have that version. It has Dolby 5.1 and DTS-ES for both Japanese and Cantonese.
