HXH - OVAs (Green Island) Spoilers!

I just finished the first OVA and the 2nd OVA in R3 Cantonese dub dvd and would love to find out more what happens afterwards. Are there plans to make more? If so, when? Damnit, if it continues to be just as good, I think it will finally take down RK and be my favorite series of all time! This xmas was great, finally got a chance to see both HXH OVAs and Saint Seiya's Hades Chaper! Anime is bliss! lol

Well, whenever they do make new OVAs (and I'm pretty much assuming they will at some point), I just hope they're given a higher budget. Visually, the Greed Island OVAs really suffer when compared to the TV series and the first OVA series. IMO at least.

Funny you should say that as I thought it was the opposite, that the first OVA's animation was not as good as the 2nd OVA. Anyway, I both were good but I enjoyed the Green Island adventures alot more as if it started over HXH from the beginning. That 57 year old cutie had me rolling on the floor! /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif I also like the rpg aspect of it and the rules of the game.

I do hate the R3 dvds for only having 2eps per disc /images/graemlins/sad.gif Still trying to figure out to store them, might have to double thin pak these for the first time.

Do you know if the manga keeps on going from where the anime left off?

Yes it does. It goes onto the Chimera Ants arc after Greed Island. The Ants arc starts off pretty generic, but has become more interesting recently in my opinion.

Greed Island (OVAs 2-3) makes me sad. I like to pretend it never happened >_< I don't think I even finished Greed Island Final, because it was slowly destroying all my very, very fond memories of HXH TV/OVA1. Glad you liked it, but gahhh, I couldnt stand it. And given that the manga then moves into the Chimera ants, which I couldnt stand either. I'm just pretending HxH ended forever after OVA1 =(

And man I'd love to own them IF SOMEONE WOULD LICENSE IT @#(*&!@

The ending to Greed Island somewhat redeemed the endless video game inspired training.
But the ant arc has been so slowly that is ended up mostly unintelligable. I'll have to reread it if it ever finishes, but it feels like a bad detour...

You do realize it's Greed Island not Green Island, right? But yeah I'm all up for more HxH. Hopefully another TV series not more OVAs.
