<font color="red">M</font>ature <font color="red">A</font>ssemblage of <font color="red">H</font>entai <font color="red">O</font>taku or [/b]<font color="red">M</font>.<font color="red">A</font>.<font color="red">H</font>.<font color="red">O</font>.[/b] for short, is back with the first annual 2005 Hentai Award thread. Looking to showcase the best of adult animation entertainment coming from the land of the rising sun this past year.

[/b]<font color="red">M</font>.<font color="red">A</font>.<font color="red">H</font>.<font color="red">O</font>.[/b] is setting off a series of polls to determine best in region 1 hentai. All to be revealed Friday Jan 6th midnight PST.

This year has seen many new shows and players in the region 1 marketplace with the disappearance of some (Nutech &amp; Softcel) and the introduction of others (Adult Source Media/Hot Storm, Be Beautiful, JapanAnime, &amp; JapanX/Hustler Video) while the stalwarts of the industry (Critical Mass, Anime 18, and Kitty Media) kept providing fans with quality naughty material.

Note: Nominations were drawing from various review and retail sites and may have missed certain deserving shows. Sorry if your favorite was not nominated in one catagory or another.

I didn't want to award "Wet Dream Award" to Angel Blade as it's still not finish (at least the first series so in my humble opinion, its disqualified). I awarded it to Escalayer.

I awarded "Virgin Performer Award" to Enbo as I think this is indeed quite a hot series.

"AV Idols Award"- Definetly Bible Black, hands down.

"Money Shots Award"- Widow

"All Foreplay Award"- Enbo once again. Didn't think the Immoral Sisters 2 cover was all that great.

"Golden Shower Award"- Bible Black, they always find some way to make some hot....though I didn't think that shotgun scene was neccesary /images/graemlins/depresse.gif

"Naughty Tentacles Award"- Don't like Tentacles in my hentai so I just voted for Angel Blade because of the females.

"Yaoi of the Year Award"- Not into Yaoi but I didn't want to skip this category so I voted randomly.

"Sweet Nothings Award"- Marine A Go Go.

"Cherry Lollipop Award"- Little Monica. Who wouldn't like that one due to the catgirl stripper /images/graemlins/noseblef.gif /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

"Bedtime Story Award"- Black Gate. Very Original Plot but too bad it isn't complete /images/graemlins/shy00000.gif

"Pimp Daddy Award"- It was a tie between JapanAnime (Surprise! ) and Kitty Media. However, in order to be the best JapanAnime has to make their anime title DVDs cheap and add a dub (get with the program already! ) so I awarded it to Kitty. That isn't to say that Kitty Media doesn't have some bad stuff in their dvds ex. the Bible Black dub only mess-up but of course, that was out of their hands. Not to mention the not-so-accurate subs with Jokes in dub (hate that with a passion /images/graemlins/anger200.gif )

That's my take and I'm sticking with it.

This was a lot harder to put together then it would have been if I done it last year. I had to slow down my hentai buying a lot lately and so I need to research thie more.

I was debating a lot on which top ten shows to include in here. The catagory was created to included shows that end or started in 2005 and any remakes.

I do wonder if NSN past sins of edited vol 1 will hurt it in this area. I mean it is one of the most extreme shows out there.

Not really many shows featuring tentacles this year and had to take shows that only passingly have tentacles.

Wanted to do a Yuri of the Year too but I couldn't find anything. I dicided not to do a best yuri scene as I had 12 awards already.

I'm most interested in a lot of shows that made it into this field as I tend to like good light comedies and romances in hentai.

With all the shows coming out of them including Angel Core and Deascrow I sure wish they would do dubs and more boxset as least. They could be a industry leader with the material they are getting.

I've only watched a few of the nominated titles (Marine A Go Go, Story of Little Monica, and Bible Black), but I just wanted to say that although Marine has some really great parts the fact that it continually cuts back and forth between the good bits and the story (ie- showing sex scene intercut with scenes of the old man) kinda ruined my overall enjoyment of it.

Anyway, the only other hentai I've seen are Sex Friend (really good), Akibakei Kanojyo (pretty repetetive, but has a couple nice costume scenes), F3 (fun, but not great), and one other that I can't remember (it involves a guy, three girls who control mecha, and his evil roommate, and it ends with most of his body converted to robotics...pretty awesome (funny, weird, decent scenes) but I can't remember the title /images/graemlins/depresse.gif).

Anyway, I haven't seen enough titles to vote here, I just wanted to make those few comments. /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

Yes this was my problem as well with my cutting back on new anime purchase in general. I wanted to launch this thread as soon as I saw the Mecha voting but I hadn't seen many of the new shows this year. So I did a lot of digging for find reviews, screenshots, trailers and clips to make the selections.
