Well, the games picked up a few months after the first series left off. And the manga picked up a couple years after that. I believe GU is set about 10 years after the manga, in The World v2.0
And again, it's set to tie in to the new game series, and probably a new manga.

Yay! More .hack to feed the addiction and kill the spending money! I too am hopeful that they get kajiura to do the music.

Along with the new .hack title, a couple items down from it is an entry for "Spider Riders", which is a Bee Train collaboration project with Canadian children's entertainment company Cookie Jar. I haven't been able to do more than machine-translate any of that info, but I've collected some tidbits over on Bee Train Fan (http://www.beetrainfan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=40). (Any help with additional translation would be appreciated!!)

The most "controversial" (well, sort of) tidbit is that most of Cookie Jar is made up of ex-Nelvana people, and their "Head of Asia" is likely a guy involved with the whole "CardCaptors" thing. ANN only credits him with the movie, though, and he brought over Beyblade and Medabots (one of Bee Train's, go figure) -- I never saw either of those so I don't know if they were treated any better than CCS.

All of it (including "Spider Riders") is pretty much out of my demographic anyhow, so I'm really only interested as far as my Bee Train fandom can take me. /images/graemlins/happy.gif

Absolutely can't wait. I just finished reading vols. 4-12 of the manga which had been sitting on my shelf for ages (well, 12 had only been there a couple of weeks) and thoroughly enjoyed it, although perhaps not quite as much as Tenjou Tenge (AG needs someone as cool as Bunshichi to be really complete). As mentioned earlier, it needs to have the fanservice to really do the series justice (certainly needs to have more than the TenTen anime did) but there are a couple of fights that I can't wait to see animated.

The anime is going to commence broadcast in April (spring season) this year on TV Tokyo.

Actually, the girl with pink hair holding a bowl of ramen is Mikan, Ringo's older sister. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

The screenshots look good by the way. I'll keep my eyes open for the commercial which I guess should be airing on TV Tokyo now or soon.
