Mai Hime: Second Season? (Not Mai Otome)

Will there be a second season of Mai Hime?

Okay here is what it is. On the first My-Otome DVD there is supposed to be a trailer for a fake My-HiME movie. In other words a joke. That's a commercial for the said "extra". Of course some will wish it was going to be a real movie. /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

I'd like to see a "second season" of Hime, but with a different take. For example just the average school life/drama that goes on. Especially after the events in Hime. You have <span style='color:#dddddd;background:#dddddd'>Haruka and Shizuru in college(think so) and Tate and Reito going for Mai. </span>

as mentioned in the my hime thread generations ago, i'd personally like to see a prequel w/ <span style='color:#dddddd;background:#dddddd'>mashiro</span>.

I say "spoilers" because <span style='color:#dddddd;background:#dddddd'>simply mentioning that a normal school life could happen in a second season presupposes knowledge of the reset ending /images/graemlins/sweat000.gif</span>. So, don't read if you haven't seen all of HiME.

As much as I'd like to see more HiME, I don't think it would work... besides, more Tate would kill me =P He (or rather his character design) has been totally reformed with the awesome Sergey from Otome, so the only way I could stand a second season would be if he died... like, instantly. Before the OP. And was killed by Mai and Shiho tearing him limb from limb and cackling maniacally the whole time.

..Ahem.

Anyway, I think I'd prefer they just do another spinoff in the Otome vein, with the same characters but a totally different situation. We've discussed possibilities in other HiME/Otome threads, like My~Sentai and My~Mahou Shoujo... hmm, maybe a My~Space Opera would be humorous, although I'm not into the space setting too much =P

Anyways, yeah, I adore My~HiME but I don't think I want to see an actual sequal. I think I'm quite pleased after all that they went the Otome route instead.

That would be a interesting series Rogue. Although has her as a central character. But it would be interesting to see what led up to Mai Hime.
