I have a minor question. Does Tashigi ever appear after Luffy & co. confronted Smoker and left that island? Going by what's shown on TV, I believe this was before the part we see Luffy & co. get introduced with Princess Nefertari.

Yeah, because there are lots of islands. Alabasta, Iron Works, Water 7, Skypiea, the one with Bellamy (can't think of its name right now), etc.
