I can't find the old thread anywhere. If someone know where it is, please give me a link to it. Anyway, I have been following both the anime and a little of the manga. It seems that it is decided that Ryo and Xiang will have a father daughter relationship, I was hoping that Xiang would take Kaori's place as Ryo's romantic interest, it seems that it will be Saeko the one that ends with Ryo, with Xiang being 15 and all. Episode 14 have Xiang making her first friend by herself with a little help from papa Ryo, Xiang also gets her first love letter and from a girl. /images/graemlins/catgirl0.gif

That pairing you mentioned would redeem the series for me. /images/graemlins/wink.gif
Still and always will be alternative sequel reality, but then that's nothing new to Evangelion & to US comics fans. "Lana & Clark" anyone? /images/graemlins/cool.gif

I think she is single in this universe. She does go out with Ryo. also she is not the captain of police in the original CH, just a detective.

Yes, basically Saeko was in the process of choosing between Saeba and Makimura (Kaori's brother) when he was killed. After that, despite their feelings for each other, they never acted on them because Kaori entered the picture and Ryo fell for her instead. With Kaori dead in Angel Heart, it only makes sense that Saeko and Ryo try and "pick up the pieces" together so to speak.
IIRC Saeko was never married in the CH manga or anime.

No, she wasn't married. But her father did try omiai with her. And, interestingly enough, with a man who looked exactly like Makimura.
*sighs* Why oh why couldn't they finish translating the series? Ah well.

Saeko deserves better anyway. /images/graemlins/wink.gif
I wish Raijin would've kept translating it too. They were doing a great job and the 5 volumes I have I've re-read I don't know how many times...
The one thing I don't want is someone to pick it up and do a lousy translation for it....and/or *edit* it. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Well, edited in the sense Hojo Tsukasa was *touching up* some of the more *revealing* scenes. Who can really complain if the creator is doing it of his own volition because he wanted to change it himself?
Let me clarify - I meant no editing by the publishing companies. < /images/graemlins/happy.gif

Dunno whether anyone is still watching this but I've watched up to ep 15. While it is still watchable, Glass Heart is just not as interesting a main character as Ryo was in City Hunter. Rather sad when the main highlight in this 15 episodes has been Ryo's boner in ep 13. (I laughed really hard when I saw the x-ray).
BTW, does Miki ever appear?

[/ QUOTE ]I have watched till episode 26. I don't think many people are watching. the father doughter relationship was the worst thing they could have done to kill the show for the old city hunter fans.

Miki sort of appears - as a six year old. :D She gets pretty much adopted by Umibouzu. I can't recall off the top of my head exactly when she shows up in the manga, probably something like volume 8.

Is that a flashback? If not it seems AH really is an alternate reality.

It's not a flashback - the most recent volume had Ryo et al chasing down a bus whose driver kidnapped Miki's class on their school trip. The Miki in this series though doesn't bear any resemblance to the Miki in CH other than the name (maybe Hojo just likes calling characters 'Miki'?). Plus iirc she's an illegitimate princess or something (Hojo likes princesses :D).
