My girlfriend and I were at Bestbuy the other day and saw a Those who Hunt Elves box that said it was seasons 1 and 2 and it was only $40 dollars. We no nothing about this show be we're currently caught up on our backlog and are looking for something new. Is Those who Hunt Elves good. $40 for two seasons seems like a good buy.

Considering what you get I think that it is worth $40 (I paid much more) if you like this kind of show.
Those Who Hunt Elves is a comedy fantasy, with the emphasis on comedy. It is not an epic fantasy like 12 Kingdoms or Escaflowne.
TWHE is more like Rune Soldier. Personally I like Rune Soldier much more. If you have not seen it I would recommend Rune Soldier over TWHE. I think that it also has a cheap box right now.
I would pay $40 for Those Who Hunt Elves, but it all depends on what you like.

It is a good fantasy comedy. It is worth $40 but I wouldn't pay more than that. It is not the best show out there, but it is enjoyable and funny.

I like TWHE, I'm sure there's better stuff to spend 40 bucks on, but for a fairly fun show it's not bad. The second season was way better IMO, the first was kinda funny, but I laughed way more through out the second half, especially the TP episode.

If I didn't already have it, I'd buy it for $40. It's a fine anime. Whether you like it or not depends more on you, not the show.

The first season is great. I remember loving it and the stories were more unique. The second season bombed imo, wasn't as good and pretty dumb if you ask me. Still, 24 episdoes at $40 is a good value for both seasons, but you can get it at DDD for $30 no tax + free shipping.

It was a decent concept, but I thought the comedy fell flat. I never saw the second season, though. $20.00 might tempt me, but I'd pass for now.

I'd agree. I got both seasons a couple of years ago from TRSI specials for about $40. I got to the middle of the second disk, put it aside and have yet to feel the need to watch the rest. It was somewhat amusing, but there it just so much else I would rather watch. Someday I'll probably watch the rest, but I don't feel like I'd be cheated in life if I didn't.
