According to this post (http://www.toonamiinfolink.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=982), Turner Classic Movies has given Cartoon Network the Studio Ghibli library of films they showed earlier this month. Spirited is set to air on Friday, February 3 at 7PM EST.

Oh, great, this'll go well. You KNOW the little kids who are tuning in for their precious Kids Next Door will turn this off.

Personally, I didn't like Spirited Away (too Disney-esque for me), but I'll definitely tune in when they show Princess Mononoke. That one should go to AS.

they belong to the same parent company, thus why they have access to the material. that is why so many Hanna-barbara
characters appear in cartoon network in cameos.

Wrong, ever since they showcased Ben 10 on Friday's, there are probably little kids hooked on "anime-like" shows. Rawr.

Well to be honest most of the anime shown on CN is more of the action kind. Also most of the shows on Friday are comedy. Spirited Away is neither. So it may be a a harder sell. However I'm certain kids aren't going to turn it off just because it's interrupting Kid's Next Door. Besides looking at the current schedule. On Friday, KND doesn't even come on until 11:00 PM on Fridays. Also cartoons on Fridays have been interrupted several times by specials. I'm quite certain that the Kids are used to it by now or at least they should be.

Plus if I've been reading certain posts at Gamefaqs correctly, the new episodes of KND have been showing up as part of CN's new Saturday morning line up anyway. To quote someone there

For the second week in a row Cartoon Network is airing a new episode of Codename Kids Next Door on their Saturday morning block while leaving KND the only show on that block not to be advertised. Then mention all the shows in the block but KND, like they want to kill off this show or something, as a fan of the show it pisses me off.

As for Ben 10, it's decent so far and it has potential. I just hope the kid doesn't become an expert too fast. I also I found Spirited Away pretty nice, but it's been a long time since I saw it in theaters. Ie months apon months ago.

As for Code Name: Kid's Next Door. That series is a mixed bag for me. Some of the concepts are kind of stupid. However taken as a parody which is what it supposed to be. Plus unlike some cartoons there is actually plot progression in the series. Of course those who automatically hate it would never know.

Personally Spirited Away is my favorite of the Miyazaki films. Though I probably won't watch it on CN because I own the DVD.
On whether CN watchers will like it... Hm. I don't know. Spirited Away is odd, it doesn't have a LOT of action but it does have a lot of unique imagery. So, Who knows?

Concerning Kids Next Door, at first I didn't really like the show. But having watched a few episodes (and a few "part episodes.) Well... the series is just SO amusingly over the top. The series intentionally warped view of the world can actually be pretty humerous sometimes.
Not to mention some of the visual gags can be pretty funny. For example, in the Christmas episode where someone gets pounded with all the items from the "Twelve Days of Christmas."
The "Partridge in a Pear Tree" part of that had me laughing for a while.
<span style='color:#dddddd;background:#dddddd'>It was a pear tree with one of the characters from "The Partridge Family" in it</span>
Very quick, but very funny.
