Shuichi: *quickly scoots out of the way* What a jerk... Why'd you pick HIM to be on the team? His fiancé did terrible in last year's draft.

Anna: He's got the face of an angel and he's engaged to a guy. The fangirls will devour him!

Shuichi: With a personality like that I sure as hell wouldn't marry him!

Anna: *sweatdrops* Er... Need I remind you who YOUR life partner is?

Shuichi: At least Yuki's nicer than that guy!

K: Actually, that's not saying much...

Wolfram: (to Kyo) You're in my way. Move!

Anna: Well, that should keep them busy for awhile...

Shuichi: They're going to tear the place apart!

Sakaki: *totally oblivious to the chaos going on* So what's the turtle's name?

Mutsumi: *equally oblivious* Tama-chan. Watermelon?

Well her at the 2006 Anime Draft central the crowds are going wild with each new announcement. While there hasn't been any boos yet it as most of the choices so far have been some highly popular picks, The draft is still young and who knows what twist and turns may happen.

Let reveiw the teams so far atarting with Team Anna Sartin. They blew in the draft was a commanding first fast poll win of Sakaki of the hugely popular Azumanga. If seemed the shy but ultra cool school girl had all the fanboys out in force, now she will be faced with a much harder task of taking on a whole field of 20 popular characters including former friends of Osaka and Chiyo-chan. Does this girl have the heart to battle to the top? Will her natural inner talents shine through once again? Or will she get mauled by her new teammate like every other feline she has come in contact with?

Yes it seem coach Anna as opted to draft a hot-tempered and potentially lethal new player for round 2 in Kyo Sohma. The carrot top ruffan from the wrong side of the Fruits Basket tracks. What precautions has the team taken with this pick? Will this ultimately blow up in their face with a divided locker room? Knowing Kyo's troubled past with charges of domestic violence and mental instablity, how long can the peace last?

Mutsumi Otohime from Love Hina well it looks like coach Anna stole one from Team Gump. Well it looks like another laid back character for Sakaki to play with or the help bandage her up. But will she ultimate just try to hook up the nekopile with the nekocursed? And why has this round petered out after blasting off to such a hot start?

The heat just escalated with this pick. Mutsumi adds yet another well-endowed woman to the kitty roster. Kyo is going to get buried between bounties of joy made to melt that nagging pain in his heart. But wait, Kyo has just received a threat to his joy. Pretty boy Lord Wolfram von Bielefelt from Kyo Kara Maoh is now after him for an unwanted romantic relationship.

1) I wanted to draft Musumi because she got taken before I could draft her last year, and

2) Four is my lucky number, so I wanted to draft someone who'd never been drafted before in the fourth round as a sort of good luck charm. ^_^ Plus... he's hot. I couldn't help myself... /images/graemlins/noseblee.gif

Plenty of room left for pickings at this point. Why is it that only shows that start with the letter G or earlier have more than one pick? The actual breakdown is:

We shift our attentions to next contender in the Anime 2006 Draft the team head up by B-Rad Lascelle.

Tohru Honda decide to leave school early when the lead her team to a stunning win in the Sugerbowl game of the first fast polls. While propelling her to the second highest win going many still question her heart to be competitve at the next level. Many wonder if her giving natural will allow other to take advantage of her and in turn sink her team in the early round.

Maybe thats why coach B-Rad drafted another carrot top defender of the weak, Kenshin. The Ex-Battusai seems quite capable of slicing any would be predetor, but the fact still remains. He is a man from a different era. Will his antiqutic notions and ethics get in the way of win at all cost seen in modern sports? Can he raise his sword against the lolicon hordes that are sure to be drafted this round? And what about Tohru's relationship with rival player Kyo? Can that derail the Kenshin fanbase? Will voters be confused by the choices of two red-headed step childern dualing under the noon sun? Will they just cancel themselves out in round two?

While it looks like the ploy worked is Hachirota "Hachimaki" Hoshino from Planetes really the payoff? I mean a show that seems to be stuggling to find an audience. And character that just a wannabe. In a round loaded with strong character actors. Is B-Rad saving his best bullets for later rounds?

Looks like the fourth will be the rookie league. With a rookie form anna and now Kanako Ohno from Genshiken from B-Rad. Is her show hot enough to break out of the niche fanbase? Is she part of the niche fanbase? Does critical acclaim tranlate into votes? Weeeellllll...

Excitement is building as more and more fans are antispating their favorite team's pick.

The team being coached by cairber has a solid if not close battle to take the third spot in the anime draft. The proud take no prisoners dynamo Yukino of His and Her Circumstances shamelessly plugged her team and even pimped her boy to win her pool. Many thought her hard sell tactics were a little much and word has it of a failing out of sorts with her boyfriend. Many wonder if we might end up seeing Arima Souichirou on another team? Has she burned too many bridges to go back to school? Will Yukino and Arima love survive this latest dark episode in their romance? What nasty tricks does this girl have left for this larger and stronger first round?

Well coach cairber drafted another take charge woman in Utena of Revolutionary Girl Utena fame. The lean and lanky pink hair duelist has quite a following and is sure to bring a different set of cards to the table. But this begs to be asked can these two chief co-exist in the same spotlight? Will they propel each other to new heights or crumble in a nasty catfight only good for home video release? Is there more testastaron on any other team at the moment.

Mint of Galazy Angels the ultimate cosplay loli. The first of the Angel Brigade to be drafted. Was this just baiting by B-Rad? Will Mint sipon some of the loli vote from Tomoya? What costume will she feature and can she compete with Tomoya moe styling?

Well a cheer goes out from the rest of Team Beeeeoch for Kyoko from Maison Ikkoku. The now have domestic help in cleaning up the place after the big egos running around. Can Kyoko really handle this wild bunch? Or will she be eaten alive? Who will she hook up with at the end if the contest?

As round 4 came along Miyazawa, Utena, and Mint needed a place to stay. Enter Kyoko Otonashi, with an aparment building that yet another "Girl of Action". All of a sudden, Ikkoku becomes another Hinata with these girls moving in and the drunk trio on the outs. Of course this new living arrangement leads to lots of foreplay and you couldn't ask for anything better than that (except adding more ladies to the pot).

Man, Mint getting chosen definitely puts a wrench somewhat in my plans, but not because she'd be big comepetition against Tomoyo (I'm surprised no one tried to recruit a loli between the drafting of these two girls). Rather, it put a wrench in my plans because she was one of the characters on my "possible draft" list.

Ah the team without a head, Scribble which is actually some bizarre acronm for the committee now running this team. It seems the orginal owner had some shadey business pratices and is now vactioning in federal vaction spot by invitation only.

They took over a team with showcasing Spike Spiegal, a former underworld figure and burnout bounty hunter. Yet this didn't stop him form winning his pool and securing the fourth spot in the anime draft this year. Still many wonder about Spikes and their former owners connections to the underworld. Was there some hanky panky going in with the voting? Was the exit polling correct in large turn out of ex-cons at the booths? And what out all those vote from Martian Cematary? Plus the fact that none of the votes in the first poll can be traced?

While the selection by committee decide to go with Ruri Hashino of the aging Nadesico. Now an adult this child star is seeing a resurgance in popularity with her appearance on Anime Suvivor. While she didn't win she has an empressive on screen emotional brakedown. Revealing her of being type casted and drug abuse. Yet sharp as ever she parlayed that apperance into a fat contrat with Scribble deperate already in this draft. Never a good idea to let agents negocated the contracts she is now a second round choice whem many anlyst has her no more then 8th rounder at best.

Rakka from Haibane-Renmei I guess the committee Sribble has gotten religous on us. Must have caved to the threats of ad boycotts and stuff. Mothers against non divine anime figures. Does this pick even stand a prayer? Is watching Angels In The Outfield" reall a good game planning?

Claus Valca from Last Exile, whoa it looks like they might be making a grab for points here. Then again... Can Scribble makeup ground with this pick? How much steam does Last Exile have left in it? How much steam do I have?

Well the last of the winners in the first fast polls the team coached by Nabeshinji is an interesting if not dim lot. They certainly have there charms.

Osaka edged out her competition with a blank stare and question always on her pea-sized mind. Many expected more from her some saying she is the most popular girl in Azumanga. Her game plan was non-existant but it worked anyways and she is a potienal thorn in the side of team Anna and TnAdct1. Can her mindless campaign work again? Will she be more of a spoiler then contender in the tougher 1 round? Can anyone dumber be drafted on to this team?

What? Ran Kotobuki was drafted by them in the second round? Uh okay I guess that means there is a contest for ditz captian on this team. Well at least Ran has the confindence to be a real competitor for this team. The great Ran Kotobuki has never backdown from a fight. The star of Super Gals should be an contenter. But one begs to wonder if Ran can keep her thoughts focused on the job at hand? And what is there plan? I mean between them I'n not sure there is a whole brain between them.

Sosuke Sagara from Full Metal Panic or the idiot servant of military service. Works quite well with Team Gump with the simple minded thoughts. So how much destruction will be wrecked with Sosuke looking after both Osaka and Ren, especially Ren and her resistance to authority? Does Sosuka have enough explosives to completely level Shibuya to keep the GAL in line?

Ooooooooh, Dark Mousy from DNAngel! Is coach Nabeshinji trying to add more beefcake to this team? More brains to Team Gump? But wait how will a thief square with such goodie two shoes like Ren and Sosuke? And how will Osaka take to the magic man, or will she even notice?

Well its nice to see the military take such a vested interest in the anime draft. The team headed up by penguin_tango is certainly a bold bunch.

There fast poll entry Roy Mustang the star of FMA is certainly a nice and refreshing choice. It is believed he might be a rookie pick and he did well enough to secure the seventh spot in the draft with sheer charisma alone. Now can he rally his fans in the first round draft when he couldn't even win a much less competitive fast poll? Will his flame magic beat out the loli magic brewing in many fanboys around here? How will he stack up against some of the other playboy hunks also lurking in this round? Was it all just beginners luck?

Now for the team headed up by Famicom who pounded his way into draft proper with Guts. A surprisingly weak showing that none the less got him in and into the eight spot of the draft. Guts seems to have a hardcore cult following but not much else beyond that. considering the wimps and girlies he is facing you would think he could do more. Yet it might be that precieved strength that limits him in the draft. Or could it be the Mark of Sacifice? Maybe he is too rapped up in this own big sword complex? Then again it might be the years of subtance abuse is finally taking its toll?

In another roids pick the second rounder for Famicon is Ippo of Fighting Spirit. Hmmm you think maybe a pattern doth emerges? Does Famicom have a large amount of stocks in BALCO? Is Ippo really all natural? Little loli minds wanna know!

Yoko Nakajima from 12 Kingdoms well I guess this continues the steoriods them. Anyhoo this round is looking to rival the first one. Is 12 Kingoms underrated like many have suggeted in other threads? Will Yoko get the reconition so many think she richly deserves?

Kintaro Oe from Golden Boy. Well lookie here, we have ourselves an ecchi pick! Can Kintaro get the goods and hearts of the loli competitors on the other teams? Is Kintaro preformance enhancement of choice Viarga? Will the others clap clap pump him up?

I wanted her for next round, but looks like Narob would of beat me to her anyway. I would hate to pick Natsumi and go against Madoka this round. Apparently, Big-boi believes otherwise and is more daring, lol.

I would like to pick characters who've I've never chosen but wanted to, regardless whether I end up winning or losing. Who konws if there will be another draft next year or if I can even make it in again. Over half way through the second round. Now for another team from the second fast poll. Big-boi's team.

Well in a battle of majors Motoko Kusanagi of Ghost in a Shell movie and TV fame won the showdown. While not a favorite for this round the major did get a team into the game and thats all she seemed to be asked to do. A second tier star at best what is expected of her now in this rough first round? Well she just lay back and let her teamaates take over? Will see the Laughing Man agian? And what is his devious little planes for the Major? Do tell use please.

Well falling all the way to the second round is the little runt Edward Elric of Fullmetal Alchemist. Still fuming over Roy selection in the fast polls, Edward might use his anger as motivation this round. Can the little boy win with all heavy hitters picked so far? And will he do better then the flame alchemist in the first round? Will this bitterness effect his game?

Him it would seem the Eva well has been gone to again with Asuka Langley Sohryu - Neon Genesis Evangelion. Argueable the most popular character in Evangelion. The German half breed is friery and head strong like the rest of Big-boi team. But considering the support garned by other cast members, will Asuka sink as well? Do we consider her a loli or gal? How much is Eric going to get it with this pick?

Natsumi Tsujimoto - You're Under Arrest. Well its official now the team by Big-boi is run by and dominated by the women players. They might have more balls then any other team on the board. Natsumi as with Miyuki is cop. But is she more popular then her partner? Can she attact more votes then common loli whore that seems to domenate this sport? Is she the majors new squeeze?

I swear I tried my hardest to trade down for last pick. I forgot who it was by it was in the eleventh round since they missed their pick. I wanted my last pick the be a shocker to end the drafting. It still was by not quite the impact.

Last year I believe guyver83 and Lamhirh both missed a turn. It was probably one of them you were trying to trade with. As far as trades go, could I trade say, Rei to Dagger for Ryoko? Or would that violate the no more then one character per show rule? Does that rule still apply to trades? (Note I have no interest in trading Rei, it was just an example.)

Actually last year Usagi Tsukino was drafted and it was ruled that all incranation of her were drafted as well. Its basically the same character just with different costumes on. It was also ruled that a cheracter from a different universe but the same character was one like Pretty Sammy and Sasami.

PS I think it was Lamrith of the Stars I tried to trade with. Almost conviced them to trade too.

I think that's different from this situation. Daisuke and Dark are different people who happen to share the same body. Dark was around for years before Daisuke was born, they have different personalities, etc. Usagi and Sailormoon are the same person in different clothes.

Well were back after an extend informerial break at Draft Central. Now we take a closer look at the team run by Redneck Otaku or is really run by the laughing man?

Batou of Ghost in the Shell did nearly as well as his mechinized partner the Major. Yet is was a lower finish in the second grouping of fast polls. Will this second banana have enough juice to post a respectable showing the first round? Do we know if which parts are all human? Is it Intel or AMD inside?

Coach Redneck Otaku picked Faye Valentine the grand old lady from Cowboy Bebop for his second rounder. Faye one of the few hot mature ladies to do well in this pedo lovefest draft. She was banned from most other sport leagues for her gambling addiction. While not admitting it outright Faye has stated she as made some mistakes in the past, this coming at her recent book signing. Is Faye enough cheese cake to attact this years crowd? Will her smoking habit final catch up to her? And how much do you think she has riding on this round?

Oh have the mighty have fallen. Naruto Uzumaki from Naruto clown ninja extradiore was talked about as early pick for the fast polls. Yet he fall all the way to the third round. What gives? Do the other teams know something Redneck doesn't. How will a mostly veteran group handle the young wildying? Will he unlease the Kancho 1000 years of burning death?

Goth is back with Robin Sena from Witch Hunter Robin. After picking that clown Naruto coach Redneck has come back with a more mature acting pick. So is Robin a flash in the pants? Or will she burn the competition this round? Will she become Faye's life size cigeratte ligher? Or Naruto accomlice in a series of hot foot pranks?

However this team is still without a den mother so Naruto is still begging for food and useless in a fight because Faye spent all of the team's money at the races. Batou is still busy in the back oiling up the Tachikomas for the battle ahead.

Well, it's my list of people, when they picked, who they picked, and the scoring from the fast polls, etc. Most of the prelim data can be deleted, but I do need to restore who numbers 21 and 22 were, in case we have an ejection or 2. (I still have all the raw data, but I don't want to create the file on a computer that's not my own.) Then it's a matter of keeping a list of all the characters drafted in all 10 rounds for the polls, once they start up. That'll be the part that's easy for anyone else to do. I was using Excel so I could keep a running list across of who has what in a blink, and to watch the series counts. (Although I see I've nothing to worry about there yet...)

Haruhara Haruko from FLCL well if this team couldn't get any weirder. You rubberband man, computer goddess in the machine, GTO, and now alien on a vespa. Who will be her first victem with the guitar smash? Will it be Luffy or Onizuka? Has this team just entered the twilight zone?

After Lain cures Luffy of his rubber man curse, we needed a test to make sure he was cured. Haruko is perfect for that test with her experience smashing guitars over people's heads. One way to find out if Luffy is cured would be for the guitar smashing to really hurt him with or without something emerging from his body. Onizuka tries to hit on Haruko for some sweet lovin', but also falls victim to her guitar smashing. Lain manages to avoid getting smashed by allowing Haruko to join her on the computer where they begin to hack and unleash their power on the world.

Well coming in at the 15th slot is a team shaping up to be Texans of the anime draft 2006 the team headed up by ibby.

Using the aging star Vash to get in one has to wonder if coach ibby is living in the past. Has the game past them by? Can ibby whip the noticably heaver human stampede into shape. Will Vash find enough incentive to put down that donut and pick some weights? Once a superstar, Vash might compete for low votes in the first round and start this team in the hole.

But of course there are other rounds and the next selection is... Eek! Another aging star Salior Moon from Pretty Soldier Sailormoon. Looks like ibby is going retro. One wonders if Salior Moon was a stretch for this early in the draft? Can she compete with out the help of her friends? The draft moves on and on and on. The little team that could headed up by TnAdct1 is looking to be all over the place.

First was the loveable loser Chiyo-chan. Having to pleads like a little sissy girl to win the THIRD LAST CHANCE POLL. What do you think the odds are now that she is in the main poll with more popular competition. Many now see the little twerp as just a tool to derail more popular Azumanga characters. How much will she sapp from Osaka and Sakaki? Will she even beat out some of the other loli cream puffs floating round? Do we need to see Chiyo-chan cry...again?

Maybe in a vain attempt to pimp out the image of Chiyo-chan coach TnAdct1 has gotten Nabeshin from Excel Saga. Will he go poemy skanky or chiba uber cute? And does he have any reason to believe he can do well himself? Will he do a daffy duck stunt and snuff him self out just for a few votes.

Well that didn't take long did it? Tomoyo from Cardcaptor Sakura has finally come on the scene soon after her object of desire was drafted Sakura. So was this just a quickie contract signing just to be near? Will she fro out like the rest of the team? How many more loli can we take in this game?

Ooh, another character that hasn't really hit these shores just yet, Nodoka Miyazaki from Negima. Better be going from the manga as I hear the TV show blows. That being said I fear this pick might sink faster then the titanic. Can an character that will relie on fans of the mange garner enough vote in an ANIME DRAFT? I believe history is agianst this pick. Maybe if Nabeshin is allowed to make her hair into dreads...

This also is not Nodoka's first time in the draft. She was drafted in the 2004 Anime Draft.

Chiyo-chan and Tomoyo get even smarter with Nodoka providing lots of reading material for them to bury their minds into. The book that Nodoka has brought lets them read about how every other team is doing in the draft and that knowledge will be of great use as the draft continues. Nabeshin is stunned by the girls' brillance and wonders why his daughter, Poemi, couldn't be that smart.

A few comments to make concerning my latest draft pick.

First off, I'm surprised to hear that Nodoka was actually part of the 2004 Draft. Of course, since I didn't really get into Negima until 2005, that is probably understandable.

As for the pick: yes, I do admit that choosing Nodoka this early in the draft is risky (I did consider saving up until later). However, I'm somewhat of a stratigic person. Thus, noticing the traits of the characters that were picked before, I decided to take advantage of this knowledge and make this risky pick.

There is an Anime for Negima now. It will be released in R1 this summer. So this pick is legit.

Nodoka Miyazaki was drafted in Round 8 by the draft creator and then commish, rainking187. Unfortunately for him, only 2 votes went to the timid junior high girl. In 2004, characters were drafted from both anime and manga. I suppose 2006 calls only for R1 and R2 released anime.

I've seen the entire anime and loved it...until episode 21, which after that, left me emotionally empty. I advise not to watch past Episode 21. Well you could, since it has nothing to do with the manga's story arcs (at least, from how far I've read) but be warned. The anime did however suffer from crappy animation and because 26 episodes cannot do the story justice. Ever. Look at Love Hina. But for what it's worth, it was fun.

I don't think Miyazaki will garner in as much votes as TnAdct1'd like, seeing the R1 has yet to be released. TnAdct1 will however attract the manga audience into this one. A pity she is not my favorite Negima! girl, else TnAdct1 would have my vote.

I think ayumu-chan hit the nail on the head. Not only has Dark been around decades before Daisuke, but the two guys talk to each other normally. When Dark tells Daisuke "I'll take it from here," he seems to imply that the two are separate. Contrast this with Detective Conan, where Shin'ichi Kudo and Conan Edogawa are clearly one and the same.

Granted, it's been many months since I last watched the series, but I'm confident that the pair are different people. Lamhirh, I humbly request that you replace Daisuke with Dark on the draft board, making Daisuke eligible again. However, if I am overruled, then I accept that. Thanks!

Meroko has a man in her life and will get jealous of anyone who dares to come between them. In a way, it is similar to Mahoro's relationship with Suguru. No matter how hard or not she may hide it from everyone outside of the Misato house, Mahoro wants Suguru all to herself <span style='color:#dddddd;background:#dddddd'>even so far as to be resurrected as a human after her android body was destroyed </span>. Nearing the end of the second round we take a closer look at the team in the 18th spot coached by rainking187.

First off we have Rei of Eva. One of two Neon Genesis characters to just get in. Oh and that can't be good with as few votes they got in the first place. Eva fans are know be rather rabid but slow but surely they are becoming exinct. Maybe its all that flaming they been doing trying to deitify their show? Or rapid encroachment of new shows like RahXephon? Can the blandest girl on the show draw enough support from this threaten species fanbase?

Not sure about the first round so maybe coach rainking187 is hoping to jump start his campaign with his thrilling second round pick. Whoa its Aoi Sakuraba from Ai Yori Aoshi? Damn this team really likes them submissive. Not quite a loli and not really a sex pot, Aoi sits squarely in the role of good girl. Can good girls finish first? Who will Aoi appeal with the forum so infested with pervs, sickos, and knuckle heads?

Well it looks like coach found the one star that could possible even more passive then Aoi and Rei in Chi from Chobits. Not much to say here but "Chi chi". I mean chi chi chi? And can chi, chi, chi and chi chi chichichi chi? Its the third round so will Chi be the chi chichi chic?

Cute cute cute and more cute as coach rainking187 adds the cute vamp Hazuki from Tsukuyomi Moon Phase. Kitten ears and all this little vixen might prove more trouble then its worth. Can a relative unknown here States side do well? Will a saucer of blood keep her happy? And who on Team Cutey Pie is going to supply it to her?

Well folks it looks like the next team in the 17th spot is done drafting. So lets take some time to look at the team headed up by Lamhirh of the Stars.

There fast poll competetor was none other then the loli goddess her shelf Skuld of AMG fame. While she floundered in the early polls Skuld was able to draw in enough loli base and those wishing to damage her older sisters vote to slide into the draft proper. Many including her uppity older may be regreting letting her join the pros at such a tender age. But can she succeed in the rough first round? Should there have been an age limit before going pro? Is Skuld allowed to use her hammer in the game?

Okay, okay know for the more interesting pick. For the second round coach Lamhirh of the Stars got another lolita, Triela from Gunslinger Girl. Because we all need more little girls to drool over around here. Triela is more the straight man on this team to Skuld antics so this seem like a good fit. But can a cold little fish make it in this second round pool of sharks? Isn't there a curfew for these little munckins? And where are her parents in all of this?

Looks like Lamhirh of the Stars got a nanny for this daycare in Mahoro Ando of Mahoromatic. Though technical she is really no older then the rest of girls. So I guess the question is which will kill Maharo faster. Her live expeancy? Or the bugs introducted by Skuld? Or the sheer wave of nasty thoughts coming from all the loli fanboys drooling over the girls in the house?

Trall lala fallala, trall lala fall lala. Meroko Yui of Full Moon wo Sagashite is the fourth round competitor for this team. Which seem to be another character banking on early buzz instead of an actual fanbase here in Region One. Has there ever been a big winner in the anime draft of characters not yet exposed to our shores? Does anyone really think Meroko Yui will be the first? And who is the first one on this team marked for death?

This team certainly needs more cuteness to break Rei out of her shell. Hazuki is not the first person to don the kitty ears as Aoi has been spotted with the ears from time to time. Chii will also learn how to be cuter than she already is and this will also make the redecorating of Rei's Apartment look even cuter. Nearing the end of your teams review for the second round we have the 19th team to make it in coached by Jimmie M.

Riding a late surge of mature women getting into the draft Jimmie M rode the nostalgia vote with Miyuki Kobayakowa of YUA fame. It was a close race for this old meter maid to get one of the last spots. But the pathic pleads got those last few votes. For now Miyuki can be seen as a place holder for the first round. How will she perform without her more dymamic partner? How far can the sentimential card take her?

Well according to the rules coach Jimmie M was barred from any other members of YUA so he had to go another direction with his second pick. He didn't go very far with Kaori Makimura of City Hunter. Another women cop of action, that is use to kicking ass and perverts, Kaori seems like an interesting subatute for the Natsumi. Still there was barely enough old fart votes to get Miyuki in and many don't see her as any threat in the main draft. How will old school Kaori fare in the just as strong second round? Does City Hunter any more popular then YUA? Who will Kaori smack around when things start to look bad?

Well another defender of justice has been picked and its Ken The Eagle Science Ninja Team Gatchaman. Uh I guess someone is a little older then our usaul demographics here on AOD (or anime viewer in general). But going the theory age before beauty not very smart. Then again Ken should have this niche all to him self. So the question really is can he get more then single digits of votes? Is Jimmie M already throwing in the towel? Is it this a budgetary move?

Ginrei of Giant Robo she does have her own special. Winding down round four is a character from a beloved show. But is it enough to attrach the mainstream AOD voting public? Am I running out of things to say? Is Futigive safe from this Team of ultimate justice?

Finally the last straggler team coached by Dagger has made the closing pick for the second round and started off the third round with his pick.

But first Misato the last character to get into the draft with a rather weak showing. Lets start this off fast with the fact Misato looks like she is going no where fast. She lost the battle of the majors and barely squeaked in on the last chance fast poll. Where was all those rabid Eva fanboys? Is Misato too old for this loli/shota game? Will she just drown her sorrows in a dringking binge? Bah too depressing lets go on to the next pick.

Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo, er I guess Misato will have a drinking buddy after al. Ryoko the xenopile teleporting, lazer firing, high flying, super-strength girl of the tenchi universe is know on the field. Seeing how only one mature woman has done resonablely well here I'm not sure an ancient demon like her will find that fetish audence. Can spike hair and mean looks girl get the votes? What will the bar tab be for this group?

Okay and for our first look at third round field is Alucard from Hellsing. Hmmm this ones doesn't fit the pattern, except maybe old folks. Looks like Dagger is looling for a little power in his game. Still having a vampire amoung all the virgins that are sure to come in this round might not be a bad idea. Still will gothic subclass come out in force? Is this a statement pick meant to establish Dagger as a contenter or prentender? Will Alucard even care to get up in the morning to compete?

Do my eyes decieve me or did coach dagger just draft the first villian of the 2006 draft. Well Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist is certainly a nice way to go if you got to go. Anyhoo with a name like Lust I don't care if she is good. Now will there be any more taken from FMA?
