Starting February 11, with One Piece episode 59, "Heading For Disaster," Cartoon Network will air new episodes of One Piece every Saturday night at 9:30 pm. The new episodes have not been announced for 4Kids TV

Visiting Toonami Infolink (http://www.toonamiinfolink.com/) it looks like the premiere episodes will be:
Heading for Disaster 2/11
Face Off 2/18
Boogie Powder 2/25
Also, I believe this is episode 59 of the US version, which I've read is around episode 91 in JP. Interesting though that new episodes of OP will start on Toonami, where I'm sure it gets better ratings.
Now, commence the obligatory 4Kids bashing

*Prods 4Kids with a spatula of the burger-flipping quality in a mean-spirited manner.*
Well, I guess this sucks for any dub One Piece fans that don't have cable???

You called it. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif
edit: Though, I haven't seen much of that in recent months...
Maybe (if there is such a thing as an anime god) they won't hack it up nearly as much if it's only going to air on Toonami. I mean they surprisingly left most of Chopper's back story intact so maybe it won't continue to get butchered so bad. Wish they would change some voice actors coughsanjicough so I can actually sit through a whole episode of it.
It would be nice if it was edited for cable now instead of for early morning TV.
Of course i still dont get why its on after the higher rated Naruto....

Probably in the hopes of catching the attention of those that just finished Naruto and are looking for something else to watch/waiting until whatever show is after One Piece comes on. Not the worst strategy, sticking a lower-rated show in between two shows with good ratings.
Of course, I have no idea what comes after One Piece, so part of this is just stuff I'm pulling out of my ass because I know it works for other shows.

Seems like 4kids is desperate to get any ratings from the show. They still are not aware by "americanizing" the show they have destroyed a lot of potential it had to offer. We also know they have backed away from the idea of subbed releases. What I am afraid of if One Piece continues to get lower ratings on Cartoon Network, it would result in the show just going off the air and into limbo.

HAHAH! THAT IS AWSOME! The show is bombing for their targeted audience and even the mangled job they did is doing well with the Anime fans in CN! In your face 4kids.
Of course the only reason that one piece is doing well is because it comes after Naruto.

I have to agree, it hurts my ears to listen to Sanji that I have to just mute the TV . What the hell were they thinking when they cast that guy to play Sanji.

Because they are forcing you to watch it, there is a big chance you will sit through it after watching Naruto instead of switching channels.

How does it get better?
Yeah, from what i heard MEw Mew was as badly edited as most other stuff on 4kids (heck, they edited Winx Club and redubbed it when theres a already a English dub of it out /images/graemlins/stunned0.gif )
