Hosted by Sophie McNutt, Allen Divers, and Christie Heikell

No new licenses to anoounce
several street dates were given for the next few months
Funimation is about ready to open up Funi-girls to all female Anime fans for an insider look at what females can do in an anime company besides voice act.
Funimation Convention Crew: about raedy to start recruiting fans to help other fans at their tables will be put up on website within the next 2 weeks probabably(at the time of this post it is already up)
during the Q&A the question about whether they could confirm the Tsubasa Chronicles and XXXholic licenses was asked as for the Tsubasa Chronicles license it was stated that it had not been announced and the XXXholic license which was stated in Anime Insider that we should go there for our information but was also not announced.

Funimation wanted to know what we wanted from them this coming year. Most people started coming up with new series they wanted Funimation to get, but after it was explained what type of info they were looking for the majority of the fans were wanting more voice actor commentaries and director commentaries on the discs and also more extras. It was explainde during this that the reason the crack the case as no longer on the Case Closed DVD's was that it took too much programming when a lot better extras could be added in the same space

Clarifications:

Please read Anime Insider #29 (on newstands now) for FUNimation's involvement with Tsubasa and XXXHolic. We want people to get the info from the magazine since it is an exclusive to them. That's why we have been silent.

Starting with Katsucon, we will be handing out panel recap notes and will pass them out to any reporters who visit the panel and these notes will also be distributed to interested online sites. This will lessen most of the confusion.

I don't understand why this was moved to GA while the Ushicon Panel Report for ADV (http://forums.animeondvd.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=1263168&page=&view=&s b=5&o=&vc=1) was not. Oh well.

Thanks for the info! It's not much, but it's something. Personally I'd prefer interviews over commentaries as I'm more likely to watch interviews.

The internet eliminates the need to bother putting out money for a mag to get info like this, since once one person has it, so does the world. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Speaking of Katsucon...should we expect any new license announcements from FUNimation then? /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

the answer to that question is definate yes there will be announcements at Katsucon I failed to mention that in my report. To Lance I understand that you wanted people to look at Anime Insider I think it was just the tone in which it was said that caused the confusion well now that this has been clarified I can take one the titles off my please license list. I look forward to the great job you guys will be doing on the DVD.

I think that's a legitimate question, though they actually seem to have moved this into C&SG (Conventions and Site Gatherings), not GA (General Anime).

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing the ADV report also moved in here, just as long as someone starting moving things in a consistant manner and posts a redirect to wherever stuff is moved (because I hate discovering I missed a convention report because its in a folder I wouldn't think to check for it in /images/graemlins/depresse.gif )

That's great, especially since I don't have the time to go to conventions.
