Japan Anime: Is UMD included?

hi this a question about some of the JA new release the covers say that psp movies inside does it mean that you get a umd with the dvd

The info only says "PSP Movie Inside" could be a PMD disc or a movie file on a DVD-ROM portion of the disc (heaven know there's more than enough room for it) that can be downoaded to a PSP. Hard to tell by the infor listed.

To judge from one of Chris's recent JapanAnime reviews (don't remember the title offhand), it's apparently not a separate disc. He mentioned something about not knowing how to access the PSP movie (and not much caring /images/graemlins/tongue.gif ).

At first I also thought that an UMD -version would be included, but I was wrong... To my knowledge there's a PSP -compatible version of the episode somewhere on the DVD, that you can convert to a memory stick and watch it on a PSP.

open the dvd in windows explorer(or whatever serves that funtion with your OS), check the files for one with an extension playable in psp, download to memory stick, enjoy /images/graemlins/catgirl0.gif

Of course the process might be more complicated that stated here, also you might want to look for a README.TXT file... details about the psp playable file might be included there

I'm well aware of that /images/graemlins/wink.gif. And yes there will be hentai on the PSP (Words Worth, A Kite, and Mezzo Forte are three titles I'm sure of) but that's only in Japan. It's been mentioned in the past that Sony Computer Entertainment America is far too anal to let shit like that be released on the PS2, so I doubt they'd be any more lenient on the PSP.

i thought the psp has no region coding... also from what i undersrand sony isnt controling who is releasing movies/shows on the umd format. thats why in jp the porn makers can release those shows. its not like the console games where sony has to give it's stamp of approval. us porn makers should be able to make porn on umd if they felt it was a big enough market. but who watches porn on a 4-6 inch screen.
