• Medicos updated their site, featuring (uncolored) prototype pictures of some upcoming figures/sets. As can be seen on the bottom on this site (http://www.medicos-e.net/kin4/news.html) they´re also planning to do a set for Sayonara Ginga Tetsudô 999 ~ Andromeda Shûchakueki. Given their decent job on the previous set (http://www.medicos-e.net/999/index.html) for Ginga Tetsudô 999 it´s one that I´m definitely looking forward /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif
(Btw. despite the Sayonara set, there are still no news on wether Medicos has dropped their plans, announced on a previous WF, to release a set for Uchû Kaizoku Captain Herlock though).
• Also Takeshi Okazaki updated his Official site (http://www.t3.rim.or.jp/~happy/) featuring a picutre of the 1/6 Scale (unassambled) Rei Ayanami Resin Kit that HAPOI-DOKORO is going to release for the upcoming Wonder Festival. More pictures of the figure can be found at the "figure gallery" section of his site here (http://www.t3.rim.or.jp/~happy/rei.htm?138,50)

Since I missed out on this gorgeous piece[Saber swinging her sword) I was searching around and found one on ebay. Curiously it said that this figure would be reissued in July. Does anyone know if that's true?

Can't say I've heard anything (which is to say it may well be), but it has already been through two pressings having been released for a second time in Sept 05, which would make me think its unlikely.

Well all I've ever bought from there have been Korean CD's, so I can't speak with too much authority. But one time I did luck out and score a 1st pressing of the Final Fantasy VII Piano Collections months after it went out of print (before changing over to the Square-Enix label)

I see your point. I'm going to throw caution to the wind and order one. But I guess I better watch the show first just to decide if I like it or not. /images/graemlins/sweat200.gif I'll check it out later tonight. I think the character designs hooked me. It's like Burst Angel. Sometimes that show is painful, but those figures *points to avatar* are just too damn cool.

show is piss poor slow as hell... much slower imo than tsukihime and i'd rate To Heart to be more engaging. Doesnt help that Shiro is a twit. Not good when the male lead sucks.
saber and rin is pretty cool, even the little girl. too bad the game cant be localized. i have the figure and it looks awsome... if you like the character by all means order it... worse case is that YA cancels it on ya cause they cant find one to fill your order.

Unsuprisingly the show exclusive ZHiME and Fate stuff are going for way more than I'd want to pay (Fate in particular - I'm not paying that much for a couple of TF repaints).
Still, that Arika Yumemiya from Kotobukiya looks great, and Good Smile (are those posable Rin, Archer and Lancer figures?) and Alter have some nice Type Moon stuff (I particularly like the fact that the Type Moon collection figures have Rin in school uniform rather than the usual red jumper).
I'm going to need to find some more room...

****WARNING: Please remember that most linked pages will have items of varying NSFW levels, some may even be blocked outright***
Yay! Color prototypes of the Alter Last Exile figs! (1) (http://www.vitaminless.sakura.ne.jp/wf2006w/photo_01/wf06w_011.jpg) (2) (http://www.vitaminless.sakura.ne.jp/wf2006w/photo_01/wf06w_012.jpg) (Though neither picture shows more than the tip of the vanship.) Also at the top of the same page (http://www.vitaminless.sakura.ne.jp/2006/dlog200602b.html#d20060219) are (unpainted) prototypes of what looks to be Alter's third trading fig series, comprised of various Type-Moon characters. Close ups of most of the figs in both sets can be found a little ways down on this page (http://members.jcom.home.ne.jp/vampirdzhija/#060219).
Also showing up are pictures of the 3rd Range Murata PSE figure set. This time, with 100% more pingu! (1) (http://blog5.fc2.com/v/vpblog/file/20060219211742.jpg) (2) (http://hk.dmz-plus.com/photo/wf2006w/210.jpg) (3) (http://hk.dmz-plus.com/photo/wf2006w/208.jpg) (4) (http://hk.dmz-plus.com/photo/wf2006w/209.jpg) Of interest, may also be the the poster in the background of this shot (http://angelsrep.plala.jp/~fumiyuki/figure02/200602/20060219_0513.jpg), which advertises a figure set based off of the robot anthologie series.
This page (http://www.rurigoten.com/figure/event/wf2006w/) is showing off some pics of a damn fine Trigun fig (scroll waaaaaaaay down) which if I'm interpreting right is coming out as a PVC from Tora no Ana? The page also figures most of the new Rozen Maiden garage kits that came out at this Wonderfest, including a pair of rather nice custom Shinku and Sugintou Pinkys (http://hk.dmz-plus.com/photo/wf2006w/029.jpg).
Moving more firmly into the unofficial, also of interest to Rozen Maiden fans would be a set of paper figures (http://hk.dmz-plus.com/photo/wf2006w/015.jpg). (IIRC, there's actually a site where you can DL these off the web. Not sure though.)
Mai-Hime/Otome fans probably want to check out the first set of figures on this page (http://www.earlbox.sakura.ne.jp/#20060219).
HAGU-CHAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! (http://hk.dmz-plus.com/photo/wf2006w/180.jpg) (Yay for Honey & Clover!)
Another rare non-loli shoujo manga appearance was a cute figure of Tohru (http://f.hatena.ne.jp/RBR_edge/20060219125546) from Fruits Basket, with attendant Kyo-cat and Yuki-rat.
Also a nice Rakka (http://hk.dmz-plus.com/photo/wf2006w/151.jpg) from Haibane Renmei.
And it's time for the custom Pinky check! Aside from the Rozen Maiden pair listed above, many custom Pinky and Pinky knock-offs showed up this Winter. I'm not sure which these (http://office-saiun.to/nya-ko/wf3/wf_2006_w_90.jpg) are supposed to be[/b], but hey, it's got a Kino's Journey fig!
The custom Emma Pinky (http://hk.dmz-plus.com/photo/wf2006w/202.jpg) made a return appearance. And many custom Pinkys can be seen on the pages here (http://mimibukuro.ddo.jp/contents/WF2006-winter-01.html)*, including onces from GitS: SAC, Hellsing, and Trigun! *(warning: takes a hideous amount of time to load the pics.)
I wish they would come out with a mass release Haruka figure /images/graemlins/cry00000.gif

Yup, Tora no Ana. Although the figures at the top are all interesting. I've always liked the Touhou series of games. I might look for the Remila Scarlet (http://www.rurigoten.com/figure/event/wf2006w/image/gouhon1.jpg) and Suika Ibuki (http://www.rurigoten.com/figure/event/wf2006w/image/io1.jpg) figures although I'm a bit upset that they only have figures for the girls from Immaterial and Missing Power. Previously announced on their Official site (http://www.medicos-e.net/) Medicos Entertainment plans to release another Leiji Matsumoto themed set (like their previous Ginga Tetsudô 999 set (http://www.medicos-e.net/999/index.html)) this time focused on the 2nd movie Sayonara Ginga Tetsudô 999 ~ Andromeda Shûchakueki. While sadly no prototype figures of this set have been exhibited at the recent Wonder Festival 2006 Winter, Matsumoto fans that attended the event report that illustrations featuring the designs of the figures included in the set have been shown. The set is scheduled to contain the following figures:
Sayonara Ginga Tetsudô 999 ~ Andromeda Shûchakueki Trading Figure Set
Manufacturer: Medicos Entertainment
Release Date: To be announced
Line-Up:
- Maetel
- Captain Herlock (and rear side of the Arcadia)
- Emeraldas & Maetel
- Tetsurô Hoshino (that´s the only figure for which prototype pictures exist as can be seen on the bottom of this page (http://www.medicos-e.net/kin4/news.html))
- Tetsurô Hoshino & Black Knight Faust

New to the forums here... just thought I'd chime in with my meager offering (http://heiseidemocracy.net/2006/02/20/winter-2006-wonder-festival-in-pictures/) from last Sunday's Wonder Festival (note: contains some VERY not-work-safe images toward the bottom).
Re: that Haibane figure, it's an unofficial garage kit (released on the typical one-day limited license system that Wonder Festival employs). I wouldn't hold out much hope for a wide release.. ;_;

Oh how I love when Wonderfest comes around... except that it makes me want to buy stuff!
Though at the moment the only figure that I'm dying for is the Himekuri Girl White Repaint http://heiseidemocracy.net/images/features/wanfes06w/widerelease/021.jpg
I thought the Black Version was pretty, but I passed on it. I think it was just to dark for me... I don't know, it didn't scream for me to buy. BUT I'm in love with the repaint. I'm wondering when it'll be listed for preorders though.. looks like it's gonna be released in April. Anyone know or have a guess on a preorder time?

I love the Kanako Ohno cosplay figures, I hope this (http://heiseidemocracy.net/images/features/wanfes06w/anime/095.jpg) figure gets mass produced. I love it, I want it.
I found some figures from GSC that weren't in most of the WF reports.
School Rumble Eri (http://www.senakablog.com/archives/img/2006-02-20-314a.html)
Onegai Teacher Mizuho (http://www.senakablog.com/archives/img/2006-02-20-320.html)
Rozen Maiden (http://www.senakablog.com/archives/img/2006-02-20-319.html)
Unfortunately it looks like pics of these figures were not allowed. At least we have confirmation of there release. Really happy that about the Eri figure.

There's a listing for a 1/8 Sei PVC from Alpha on HLJ, but I have been unable to find pics of this anywhere. Does anyone know anything about this release? It's suppose to come out at the same time as the Alter Sei (in May), but is more expensive.
In addition, I was wondering if anyone knows a good resource for news about the Volks X-Brand pre-painted statues. I'm currently in the middle of collecting the ones I can find on Yahoo Auction Japan, and I *think* there are 2 new ones coming out in March and one more in April, based on trying to comprehend the on-line translations of what I think are pre-order auctions. However, the Volks site has some crazy navigation, and I can't find out where the upcoming releases might be.
Thanks for any help that could be provided!

I think that this (http://www.hobbystock.jp/i.php?_=index_item.html&ITEM_ID=HBY-GCF-00000183) might be the Sei figure in question.

There's also this one (http://www.tmpanime.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1583) . I have the link in my sig as well. I think this may be the one your talking about.

Not too much new, but good news for those who held out for the cheaper

Inabaya Bunny Girl (http://www.yamatotoysusa.com/YUS%20Web/Pages/Product%20Pages/Inabaya/PS/RIDIA1/Product_Page.htm)
Only a partial listing as I don't have the catalog in front of me.

BOME KOS-MOS figure still looks weak compared to the Alter one. Will skip that. Kiddy Grade not sure... Comic shop exclusive ewww. Also dont like the pose... very static and dull. May go for the statue at zstore instead, even thou it costs more.
Wish they would list Emi the jungle girl for Bome.

Does anyone have a list of some well known bootleg PVC figures? There are some good deals on ebay now but the price seems too cheap to be legit.
For example some HK seller is selling Kotobukiya's Pia Carrot 3 Akemi and Miharu for $10 each (originally 3400 yen), and GSC's Akemi for $20. I would love to get them at these prices but I'm afraid of bootleg... /images/graemlins/depresse.gif

I think I found the seller you're talking about and $10 is just the starting bid. He has the Pia Carrot figures on Buy It Now for $23 which is ok. There aren't many bootleg PVC figures around nowadays. It's easier to make recast resin kits since there's no painting involved. I personally think you're safe as far was it being an authentic item.

I'm not impressed with either of 'em. They've been discussing how pretty meh these new Yammies are in the MacrossWorld-forums when somebody attending Wonderfest showed the pics. With finally planning to add a few figures to my collection (space is still limited/precious though ^_^") I thought to get some nice figures for TYPE-MOON's Tsukihime. In particular I´m very much interested to get myself some decent figures of the characters Kohaku and Hisui (and *maybe* one of Aoko *I have to admit that I´m somewhat addicted to red-heads /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif*).
Anyway with there *seems* to be a lot of figure goodness released for this series I thought wether some of the TYPE-MOON fans here *looks at Gatts* could give me some recommendations in these regards?
Searching over at the Y!AJ for figures I came across the Kohaku and Hisui figure that Spring released...yet those look somewhat undetailed for a PVC figure IMO (judging by the pictures, anyone that own them may can confirm that or convince of the opposite?). In the trading figure/Gasshapon category there have been several (?) Tsukihime sets as well. One of them (Palm Scenary IIRC) contains figures of Kohaku and Hisui as well...are these worth going for?
Any recommendation regarding figures/merchandise for these two characters is very much appreciated and welcome ^_^
Oh and one last question, does there exist a figure (no kit) of Sion?
Thanks in advance!

Kohaku and Hisui were in the second of the two Palm Scenery Tsukihime series.
Unfortunatly most the Tsukihime figures where released before I got into figure collecting, so I don't really know much about them. Kohaku and Hisui were part of a Yujin series of TFs, which I do have and would class as "moderate" (the Palm Scenery figures look like they are probably better), but were a little annoying to collect due to the fact that they had bits of scenery with them - they mixed the coloured scenery in with the clear versions of the figures, and the coloured versions of the figures came with brown-coloured scenery. I think I'm missing the coloured scenery for Kohaku and Akiha as well /images/graemlins/cry00000.gif. Mine are boxed away at the moment - I'll try and dig them out later if you want some pictures.

It seems that the first set also contains a figure of Shiki (https://www.big-web.tv/new/figure.htm?ph=pd&card_id=72209&type_id=97)...which leads to another question *gomen* Are there other figures of male characters (Nero or Warakia)?

I tend to be quite hesitating when it comes to Yujin figures and given your rating I guess the Tsukihime set by them is something I won´t rank as high priority.
Regarding the Palm Scenery set, forgive me I´m no English native speaker...so I´m not quite sure what you ment by "had bits of scenery with them". Do you mean they mixed up clear parts, one-colored parts and normal colored parts within one box or just that it was hard to "get the version you want" because of them being sold as trading figures in boxes?
I´m planning to go for individual figures (so far the Kohaku and Hisui figure from the second Palm Scenery set do look IMO very tempting ^_^) via the Y!AJ *assuming I find a good offer for them* so that wouldn´t be much of a problem (on a somewhat related sidenote I just don´t get why TFs are released as various color version... I mean I do see some sense in the clear figures since they would be interesting to people trying to "color the figures by themself" but why releasing one colored version like the brown ones you mentioned?).

Oh I´ve seen pictures of the TYPE-MOON set (uncolored prototypes IIRC) from the recent WF reports. Continuing to do a little "research" on my own I also saw that Spring released a PVC figure of Aoko...and those Spring figures aren´t really expensive either (but as said, the pictures/photos of them available online do look like the cheap price also reflects in level of details in regards of the paining...so I´m not sure wether these are worth to go for?).

Shiki has turned up in a few sets. I don't know about Nero, but I can't imagine Warakia having turned up elsewhere - there hasn't been much of any of the Melty Blood characters aside from Sion. Maybe that'll change once the PS2 version of Act Cadenza has been released.

Ah, I was referring to the Yujin rather than the Palm Scenery figures (I don't have either PS set - PS series 1 was released before I started collecting, and I have no idea why I didn't get the second series).
Basically, they mixed the stands and the figures up, so the colour version of the figure came with the plain version of the stand, and the colour version of the stand came with the clear version of the figure. To get a complete set of colour figures you basically needed to get two different boxes for each figure - one with the colour figure (and plain stand), and another with the colour stand (and transparent figure).
To use Arcueid as an example (http://img231.imageshack.us/my.php?image=stands0hl.jpg), the stand on the left was the one which actually came with the colour figure, whilst the one she is actually standing on came with the clear figure version of the same Arc figure.
It was rather evil, really.
As for the other figures in the Yujin series -
Arc (x2) and Ciel (http://img54.imageshack.us/my.php?image=arcciel4hi.jpg)
Akiha and Satsuki (http://img54.imageshack.us/my.php?image=akihasatsuki2ch.jpg)
Kohaku and Hisui (http://img214.imageshack.us/my.php?image=maido2cz.jpg)
(As a note, there are three versions of the long-haired Arcueid figure - one painted, one clear, and one with coloured clear parts).
They aren't bad as such, but they are very plain in comparison to the PS figures, so I'd probably focus on looking for those.

Some more "researching" on my part I found out that at least the second Palm Scenery set contained a secret figure. However I was unable to find any pictures nor information on wether which character is the secret for the second Palm Scenery set. Anyone may know that (and maybe know wether the first one also had a secret figure?).

Shiki has turned up in a few sets. I don't know about Nero, but I can't imagine Warakia having turned up elsewhere - there hasn't been much of any of the Melty Blood characters aside from Sion. Maybe that'll change once the PS2 version of Act Cadenza has been released.
[/ QUOTE ]
Thanks for that. Reminds me that I still need to pick up the original Melty Blood for PC one of these days (Himeya has run out of the game last time I checked...though they now also feature minori titles...need to get Bittersweet Fools as soon as my budget allows it /images/graemlins/catgirl0.gif)

Ah, I was referring to the Yujin rather than the Palm Scenery figures (I don't have either PS set - PS series 1 was released before I started collecting, and I have no idea why I didn't get the second series).

Oh sorry for that misunderstanding on my part ^_^"

Basically, they mixed the stands and the figures up, so the colour version of the figure came with the plain version of the stand, and the colour version of the stand came with the clear version of the figure. To get a complete set of colour figures you basically needed to get two different boxes for each figure - one with the colour figure (and plain stand), and another with the colour stand (and transparent figure).
It was rather evil, really.
[/ QUOTE ]
I see. That´s really evil, considering how much effort (and money) it takes in order to have a complete set of figures.
Anyway many thanks for the pictures. Judging by these I guess I´m going to look for the Tsukihime Palm Scenery set instead (damn it started with just wanting to buy the Hisui and Kohaku figure out of the second set...now that I´ve seen more pictures of the set I´m tempted to go for the whole ^_~).
I´ve also noticed that Spring released a TF set for Tsukihime as well...but those look (even on the advertisment pictures) really ugly IMO (and I´m going to drop plans on buying one of the Hisui or Kohaku figure that Spring released as well as they really seem to lack in quality...at least the more I look for pictures of the figures themself, the more I´m finding them to be ugly).
Anyways, many thanks DiGiKerot!

Well, for what it's worth, every bome series has been brought over to America for pretty cheap. I can't think of any of the bome figures that were over 20USD retail.
Plus they are always easy to obtain. I can still find Halloween-chan and the original Oni Musume figures at online shops for 10~15USD new. Plus the Kiddy Grade figures are being sold for about $30 for both. Other than some Bandai figures, I can't think of any non-Kaiyodo 1/8 scale figures that are under $20.

Well, since everyone knows about Saber, I might as well mention the other June release for Alter. Hikaru (http://hobby-channel.net/content/view/778/68/) (or should I say Hik@ru) from Peace@Pieces. This time in her battle Uniform. Personally I think it looks much better than the GSC (http://www.goodsmile.info/gsc050801.html) figure for Hikaru. But that's just going by pictures. I wonder if they will make one for Nagi's battle suit... probably not.

HLJ has stopped taking preorders for this puppy...
That was fast. Guess this is gonna be limited and collectors/ebayers who want a complete set of color schemes or for after market are buying.
Guess the option for the 1/48 low vis Battle Armor helped... Placed an order for that to go with the fighter.
The Stealth regular and super is still up for preorder.
The prototype VF from Macross Zero is back up for preorders at HLJ. If you missed out the 1st time now's your chance to score it.

you know, i like the prim figure like that. i like the back ground and pose, kinda simple. i myself haven't watched much of the anime, just the first couple of episodes after i picked up one of the figures. heard that the figure with the book sold out rather quickly for her.
and more Alter stuff coming staeside.
Black Saber (http://www.aaaanime.com/cat.asp?view=item&code=4560228201192) you know i see a lot of reference to her in black, black armor, black dress, but i'm not sure what it placement it has int he series. i like the look of the black armor, but this short black dress is a bit eh to me.
Hik@ru (http://www.aaaanime.com/cat.asp?view=item&code=4560228201185) she's kinda cute, but i gonna be broke after AX, so i'll probably pass on her.

I'm pretty sure the Black Saber is taken from one of the alternate paths in the Fate/Stay Night game. In that version Saber is basically tainted by evil, hence the black dress, armor, and pale eyes and hair. Not sure if I'll get it myself either (not a big fan of black Saber, though it is a fine looking figure). Personally I'm still holding out for a good Rin figure that has her in her school dress and red coat. /images/graemlins/catgirl0.gif

Nope. The original release was only available on chara-ani. There were two choices white and colored. Then they did a general release of the white Hazuki figure around the same time they did a general release of the Miharu figure. Now they are re-releasing the Miharu figure which was never hard to get ahold of. Heck, you can still find the Chara-ani DearS figure lots of places too. The Hazuki figure, on the other hand, sold out almost immediately and has never been restocked or re-released.
Sort of like how Megahouse will do a re-release of their Gundam Seed figures, but they haven't done a re-release for their Sengoku Cannon Koyori, Portrait of Pirates (other than the first group), or Bleach Excellent model figures.

Nice. Now to debate whether I want to get the Ichigo this time around. I passed on him the first time because his hair makes him look like a super saiyan. I also have a feeling that there'll be a version 2 of Ichigo down the line...either with the shikai form of Zangetsu or with him in his bankai form.

Max Factory's Carmen 99 (http://www.rakuten.co.jp/be-j/472563/529549/773161/) (Gun x Sword) is up for preorder now.
Also up for preorder is GSC's Eri Sawachika (http://www.rakuten.co.jp/be-j/472563/657658/773157/) (School Rumble). I really hope they do some more characters especially Karen, Itoko, and Harima.
And lastly with Banpresto doing a second Maid Cafe Box (http://www.mpsnet.co.jp/HobbyNet/ProductOne.aspx?pno=20999) I'm wondering if anybody else ordered the first box and not recieve the secret figure. Does anyone have any pics of this figure?

First, in regards to the Rozen Maiden Pinky's, it looks like these will be a major re-release, which I'd figure wouldn't just be the garage kits all over again. I am glad that they seem to have gotten permission from Vance/BABYSue for the use of the heads. Maybe this will end up being something along the lines of the Maritan (http://www.hobbyjapan.co.jp/maritan/pinky_kokuti.html) Pinky's in that they aren't Vance per say, but are using the same design system/measurements/license.
Also, Vance ~finally~ updated their Home Page (http://www.mr-hobby.com/vance/figures/index.html) to include pictures of Agito/Akito. Looks like aside from being the first Official "Male" Pinky ST. character he is coming with face/eye patch system that allows you to switch between his personalities. (An eye patch that isn't a seal... should be interesting.)
As far as Amazon goes, I'm thinking that once they have their stock in they will open it up for orders again but who knows.
You could always try Kinokuniya (http://www.kinokuniya.co.jp/english/contents/network04.html) I ordered a Ringo through the Costa Mesa store and not only did I get if fairly fast but the mark-up wasn't a whole lot different than what I would have paid ordering from Japan after shipping costs.

hey, i was curious about the Tandem Twin figures. saw on yamato's site and figures that it's suppose to have a secret weapon. that seems really vague to me, and after looking at it, i can't think of anything. it looks like the clothes might come off, but if that's the "secret weapon" they're talking about... that's the weakest marketing gimmick i've seen
Gatts
03-14-2006, 11:02 PM
Well, a removable top was a feature of the original resin kit so I'm pretty sure that's the "hidden weapon" they are referring to. I'm a bit upset that they are only bring over Ruby since Emerald looks better IMO. If I would buy one it would probably be Emerald.
Oh and for people who haven't seen it yet, here is a Chii (http://www.animaxis.com/en/shop/product.asp?sku=138963%2D00) figure that I saw on Animaxis.

Fans of Satoshi Urushihara (http://www.earthwork.ne.jp/) may remember the figure of maid Ilina/Irina designed by Urushihara which was available as special application service for the readers of Adult mangabon Monthly Comic Tenma last year (if not, pictures of the figure assembled *they released it as upper and lower bodypart ^_~* can be seen at this site (http://kinu.sakura.ne.jp/Tenma_IB/) <font color="red">note content is definitely NSFW</font>). As it's been announced with the newly released April issue of Comic Tenma (on sale since 13th March 2006) there'll be a second figure based on Urushihara's designs released. This figure is named Kawai Akane(-chan) and can be applied for (by sending in an application form included in the April issue of Tenma). The strict application deadline is 21st April 2006. Pictures of Akane-chan PVC goodness can be seen at the Official site of Akane Shinsha (the publisher of Comic Tenma) here (http://www.akaneshinsha.co.jp/shinkan/figyua2.htm) <font color="red">NSFW</font>. Akane-chan has removable glasses (among other removable parts ^_~ *cough* pants *cough*).
Edit: Oh and it appears that the cover illustration done by Urushihara for the April issue features the "illustrated" version of Akane as can be seen here (http://www.akaneshinsha.co.jp/cgi-bin/menu.cgi?ISBN=4-871100604) <font color="red">NSFW again</font>

not asking if you personally get stuff from the shops/links =) I frankly dont care nor mind if you do... I appreciate the info =)
What I am asking about is the points one accumulate when one shop from Amenbo... I have done 2 or 3 orders from em and I get emails saying this is how many points I have....
also when I put items into the basket and get ready to order... sides the cost in Yen and Shipping... there is also a section that says how many points one is getting for this order.
Just wanted to know what those points mean.

You *could* buy the issue of Comic Tenma and ask an agent like Masato World, Akibado, etc. wether they're going to send the form in for you. Should work though it's a bit much effort. Of course it's also likely that Akane-chan will sooner or later appear on the Y!AJ but probably quite pricey ^_~
I thought about applying for it via Masato...however with the shop I'm getting my mangabon ordered taking quite long to get them from Japan I somehow doubt that I'd be able to send the application form in within the deadline.

I mentioned it in the R2 forum, but I thought that the writing on the side was one of the reasons why customs (http://images.desturel.com/figures/room/figure015.jpg) decided they should check out the package... for my safety of course.
Anyway, Amenbo doesn't normally ship figures in boxes like that. My guess is that they didn't have any boxes on hand big enough to hold my order so they just took the box that they received their Koyori figures in. I don't mind since I'm sure my post office didn't have anyone who could read it anyway. /images/graemlins/happy.gif

Yay! About darn time too. I've had the Saber and Shiro sitting around for a year looking lonely next to the Disgaea figures. Now they have some friends. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

For me, the 1/10 scale PVC (http://www.noda-ya.com/html/syohin/figure/02000794.htm) that Good Smile Company was the only one I was interested it for Mai. I haven't really been paying too much attention to the other resin kits that were put out for My-Hime or I might have been able to make a suggestion.
Do you modify your kits or do you just paint and assemble? If you modify then you might be able to find enough kits with pieces that you like to build your own.

i dont know... the face seems off to me. personally the one that most looks like her anime self is the one where she gives the thumbs up with her scraf around her neck... but i dont like mai so there hasnt been a hime or otome figure for general release I'd buy... need Shizuru :p or Midori. maybe would buy akane... but the rest...

I actually think that the swim suit one (http://www.hlj.com/product/ORCMH-01S) looked the best followed by the Max Factory one (http://www.hlj.com/product/MAX04036). They're still a bit off though, so I'm still going to wait. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif
As for the one that you ordered, I think they made Mai look a bit too young.

Heh, I didn't buy it. It was just the only one that interested me. /images/graemlins/sweat000.gif I almost always have something that keeps me from buying the My-HiME figures.
I love the bike that they display with the Newline Natsuki (http://www.nbj.co.jp/newline/event/natsuki.htm) figure. I even like the body, but I don't like the face and the hair. For the Kotobukiya Mai, I like the scarf and the pose, but the rest just looks off. For the CM Shizuru and Haruka, I like the Haruka, but I didn't like the Shizuru (and since the only auctions I could find sold both as a set, I just didn't bother to pick her up.)

Another Hobby Stock exclusive.
Nagomi (http://www.hobbystock.jp/i.php?o=1&_t=static.html&s_target=top_20060116&s_p age=special_03.html) from Tsuyokisu. Another nice sculpt by Zenko (http://www.rock.sannet.ne.jp/zenkoo/). I'm thinking of picking this one up to go with his Aki Iro Renka figures.

They are listed as out of stock.
Nothing has been reported on the Amazon side of things. Someone said they put up "pre-orders" awhile back, but I missed it. Currently the only way to get them on amazon is via their affiliates and I'm not sure if they will ship overseas.
I haven't heard anyone in the Pibky-St.com forums mention purchasing off of amazon.co.jp yet...
Who knows. ^^;

I've had a search at some of the sites listed here and have skimmed this thread but can't find any info on any Kage Kara Mamoru figs anywhere.
Anyone know if there are any currently out or planned for future release?

Nope, not yet. The best place to check to see if they will do any future sets would be the website for the show.

I know I should probably wait until the next thread to pose a question like this, but I'll start it here and move it over to the new one once this one is full. Anyway, I've been thinking of providing links to various figure news sites to the first list. But I also don't want the first list to get out of hand.
Since the list of shops are pretty useful, I don't plan on removing those (unless someone lets me know that one of them should be removed from the list that is).
I want people to go through the following news and information sites listed below and let me know which ones I should include on the first page of the thread and which ones should be left off. I've already trimmed a large portion of my NSFW and garage kit information sites like Ruri Ruri (http://ruriruri.moe-nifty.com/) (sometimes NSFW).
But let me know which of the ones listed below are good sources to keep for the front page. Also if you know of any that I should add, let me know. I included a few general figure image sites too. Of course lots of these pages are in japanese, but anyone can look at pictures right. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

My order with them didn't go through(yet).. I requested shipping right after I ordered agito and when I ordered he was still in stock(I felt that I ordered soon after he was put up) and I have a credit card listed with them. The shipping request email had the orders that were already confirmed on it,but not agito, yet once agito was confirmed it showed up in my account like the others did for shipping. So I was thinking I got in and did everything perfect. BUT they didn't ship it.. they updated my page and put it at Future Release. I emailed them about it and requested shipping again. But I don't have a good feeling that I'm gonna get it. This really annoys me with how HLJ is running there stock. Sigh.

If DigiKerot taught me anything, that would be to make sure you check your orders almost daily (to the point of every 3 hrs) for high-profile releases. /images/graemlins/wink.gif That and making back-up orders from other retailers, which you have to make sure that you can easily cancel them.
Looks like my Asuna-fig is processing for shipping, along with some heavily discounted items (from their main page). Sweet.

The annoying thing is that none of that was actually possible with the AG Pinky, since most stores closed their preorders almost instantly. Personally, I ordered the figure then immediately went into my account and requested all items to ship. Even then, I've probably just been lucky that they've decided to fling one my way.

I'm in there with ya Dani let's cry a river together! /images/graemlins/cry00000.gif But it's not our fault!! Really we have practically no control with HLJ orders, as it's really luck of the draw (or you ordered before the stock was gone) which is all because of a busted system in which they list their stock. I love HLJ, but I really think they need to update how they take orders.

Ah well - I found an alternate (and, of course, much more expensive) route to get one.

Yea, understand that - I was operating under the assumption that you didn't order until after the link to HLJ was stuck up on the forums, because I placed my order mere minutes after that post, since I was online at that time. /images/graemlins/catgirl0.gif
Like I said - I just think HLJ hates me. They just cancelled my Air figure order that's been sitting in their system for the last three months, too.
