View Full Version : How far into the manga did the Guyver anime go?

The Guyver anime recently finished, and I was curious if anyone knows how far into the manga the TV series got. Specifically, around what issue of the manga did the TV series end? Thanks.

I would like to know that too though i didn't read the manga. Which brings another question to my mind: ADV WHERE IS THE GUYVER ? /images/graemlins/wink.gif or rather when /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

I'm disappointed in you guyver83. And you call your self a guyver fan. /images/graemlins/anger200.gif

Just kidding. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Season 1 ended at Volume 10 chapter 59. /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif The current rumor (based on a member at theguyver.net forums who has a penpal in Japan) there will be a second season and an animated movie. Course it wouldn't be too surprising since, 1) The Guyver runs in Kadokawa's popular Shonen Ace magazine (which also serializes Blood+ & Keroro Gunso), 2) The Guyver models sell like hotcakes, and 3) Guyver: The Bioboosted had a very, very good time slot on WOWOW at 7 PM.

Course, we'll have to wait and see if there will be a second season... /images/graemlins/happy.gif

Thanks for the info. I have seen some adds for the DVD box sets for the recent series in some Japanese Newtypes, but I have not seen anything about a new series yet. I will keep my eyes open. I think the manga is up to volume 23 or so now. Have you kept up with that and does it look like it will be ending any time soon?

Volume 23 only came out on 12/26/05. /images/graemlins/happy.gif I ordered mine but it has arrived yet at Kinokuniya. /images/graemlins/cry00000.gif

Anywho... The Guyver is still serialized in Shonen Ace and it's going strong. I, personally, don't think it'll end til the 30's maybe 40's. /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

I also hope Chuang Yi Publishing will put out volume 9 of The Guyver in English in a couple of months...
