FMA tins,... for us!!

Browsing play.com for new pre-orders to make, I came across a second listing for FMA vol6, "with tin packaging".

It's the same price however so it could all be horribily wrong somewhere, here's hoping though!

I suspect it's a mistake it's the same price - but Play do normally honour misprices (i got the DS wifi thingy for £15 as I ordered it before the price was ammended).

It would be great if this is real, and they do the same for the last tin as well, although why MVM haven't advertised it more I don't know /images/graemlins/sad.gif

The last few MVM LEs have been the same price as the non-LE versions.

Maybe this tin will be for the first 6 dvds, and there would be a tin with the last volume for the last 7? /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

I doubt it, I'd say if they are releasing the tins, they'll have to adhere to the R1 release with 3 tins. 1 with volume 6(for 1-5), 1 with volume 10(for 6-9) and 1 with 13(for 10-13).

How did Madman do it with the tins at all, as the UK releases will be more likely to follow the Madman format than the FUNi format.

They seem to be doing the exact same as the US release, i.e. boxes and soundtracks with Vols. 1, 6 and 10.

Yeah, but seeing as the first UK tin is with V6, I'd say 6 10 13 are the likely tin volumes.

If right, it is strange though.

They may release a tin for volume 1 at some point, it could be they've only just got the vol 6 tin organised.

It will be cool if they release the 3 tins like the US versions as the are pretty cool looking.
Even if they are something new then Id be happy too. Ill keep an eye out but Im not preordering till I know what it is.

They're not exactly difficult to cancel.

I suspect that they're doing this the same way Manga did their tin, waiting for good early sales of the series and then using the tin to both reward existing customers and lure new ones. Or something like that.

I like it this way, it saves splashing out for a LE Vol1 only to find a couple of discs in that you don't really like the show.

Seen as I keep other things in my tins rather than the DVD's I dissapointed but not majorly so.

It's a real shame that MVM had to wait and see and now it's too late to bring the first tin over but It's still a good start and a greatly appreciated gesture.
I hope they and other UK distributers will be more open to LE's and their asscoiated paraphanelia in the future.

It's actually a better price (even if i have to buy the OST seperately) than the R1 set at the moment due to the low exchange rate and shipping costs of the R1 (31.77 pre shipping is just over the customer limit of £18 at the moment, which puts the R1 into "sods law says it'll get hit" territory).

Great news that MVM are actively pursuing boxs now. I have paranoia agent and battle vixens; all I hope thy do now is bring one out with the final volumes of gantz and samurai champloo!

As was allready mentioned once, Amazon.com still have the first tin at $40. I might just buy one and sell the dvd on ebay or even give it to a friend to get them hooked.
