It looks like the old Gundam SEED Destiny thread has bit the dust, so I'll start a new thread.

And returning once again to the rumor mill, a post on 2ch contained what appears to be a copy & paste of a sales solicitation for the Destiny Special Edition stating that the Destiny SE's will be 4-parts rather than the traditional 3 for Gundam compilations. Also mentioned is that the Special Edition will be broadcast on TV sometime this Spring. But the bigger potential news is the following detail: "The SEED boom heats up! OVA 'Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E. 73 Stargazer (tentative title)' currently being planned!"

Edit: The listing for the SE at Aishin Mail Order's Rakuten site confirms all the above information.

Good thing it's split over 4 volumes so that they don't have to cut away too much as was the case with the SEED compilations. I'll be getting these on R1 as I did with the first season. Gundam compilations rule y'all /images/graemlins/catgirl0.gif

Let's hope that the Special Editions can actually keep track of who the main character is.

Well, Meer is dead so they can't possibly use her. Murrue, Lacus and Lunamaria are all alive, so milking them is still open. /images/graemlins/devil.gif /images/graemlins/devil.gif /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Afterall, Luna's got what, 3 PVCs of her now (and possibly more if they want).

Well I won't be surprised if the main character ends up being Kira in this re-telling, though I wouldn't bet on anything /images/graemlins/sweat000.gif.

Personally, I'd go for more Neo shower scenes and if they wanted to put in a <span style='color:#dddddd;background:#dddddd'>Neo/Mu/Murrue</span> scene at the end (G, PG or R rated), I'd be really happy /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif
