I just finished watching this show, and it has so many similarities with "Saikano". The last episode really had me in tears /images/graemlins/cry00000.gif /images/graemlins/cry00000.gif /images/graemlins/cry00000.gif. It really amazes me that nobody has snatched this show even with the slow down in licensing. The bastards kept me waiting till the very end in the hopes that somehow Irya survived and appeared to Asada at the end, even though medically speaking she was going to die.
Any thoughts in about the show?

I can only agree with you that's why it's one of the shows on my wish list.

Better than SaiKano, easily - SaiKano was so obvious about trying to get an emotional reaction out of you that it was like being beaten over the head. Iriya is far more subtle, and has a much greater effect as a result.
It started off harmlessly enough, and there were some fun moments up to the all-you-can-eat contest in episode four, but it just blew me away from there. The whole sequence where Iriya is attacked and forgets who Asaba is, and the lack of a happy ending for anyone, really made this one of the few shows where I was yelling at the screen at the injustice of it all.
In short, an outstandingly good little show that needs to be licensed. Anyone from Media Blasters reading? This has you written all over it...

I know what you meant, the show made you hate asaba at one point and then made you want to just go and shake the boys hand. I watched the part where Irya is shown for a last time with a smile on her face before she flew away like 10 times. I lost count of how many times I watched when Asaba confessed to her.
