I was curious how many characters were nominated for each seiyuu, so I got some information (and also noted how many characters are still in, and how many have been defeated so far). To trim the list substantially, I cut out any seiyuu that only voiced one character that was defeated, but everyone else is represented here. Only one seiyuu per character, so went with the most notable if they happened to be more than one. There was one entry that were three characters with three different seiyuu, and I counted all of them (a little unfair, but ah well...) Anyway, it was pretty interesting...

Ayako Kawasumi and Yui Horie had the most characters nominated, so naturally they're leading the pack. Yui ended up better than expected due to this last round (think she has a lot of "almost-moe" characters, but not many extremely moe ones)
Hisayo Mochizuki and Tomoko Kawakami are the most with no characters defeated. It's a no-brainer on Hisayo, but a good highlight to Tomoko's versatility, given she also voices various non-moe types (like Utena) and even some male characters.
Nana Mizuki - Proof that some of these results have just been plain... WRONG... from the moe standpoint /images/graemlins/cry00000.gif
Doesn't seem anyone who was nominated for more than two characters came through completely defeated (looking that way for Omi until good ol' Ruri came along /images/graemlins/happy.gif). Surprising ones in the "two-defeated" category are Minami Kuribayashi and Haruko Momoi. And lots of weird ones in the one-win (who I don't think of for moe usually) like Maria Kawamura, Yumiko Kobayashi, and Miki Nagasawa, while others that probably should have had some more characters nominated like Maria Yamamoto (can't believe May wasn't in the contest...) and Kumi Sakuma (no Lettuce, Kiriko, or Yuzuriha?).

I think you're missing someone. What about Mina? I mean she was in the contest just like her sister and I'm sure both lost. Ah well.

I'm going to say this much. Our only hope is Sakura Kinomoto. The reason I say this is simple. Not only does Sakura have moe powers, she also has familiarity to back her up. However if Sakura loses against someone blatantly not moe then I'm not sure what to say.

I think Aya yanked one of the twins from the competition saying that there wasn't enough of a difference between the characters (and replaced her with Valkyrie)

I like Sakura, but the ones I'm most hoping for now are Kisa and Misao. Misao losing to Mahoro seems likely, though. /images/graemlins/sad.gif And dare I hope Sae can advance (even if she does beat Rosetta, though, it may be the end of the line for her after that). I'm hoping the blatantly non-moe characters will lose Round 3, at least.
EDIT: Err... and speaking of which Nana Mizuki doesn't voice Maya in Ragnarok the Animation (should have looked that one up, as there is time when my seiyuu memory fails me /images/graemlins/sweat000.gif She does voice someone in that series, but not her). Anyway, looks like Haruko Momoi is the only "three-defeated" one now. /images/graemlins/stunned0.gif

Shima Katase (Stellvia of the Universe)
Sarara (Bottle Fairy)

So yeah for the first time I decided not to vote on two matches. I couldn't really decide sorry to say. Out of the matches I did decide on the hardest was the first one, but ultimately Anna won out for me.

Ah all right that, that makes perfect sense. Either way since Nami lost her match, it stands to reason that Mina wouldn't have done much better. So you could still say in a sense both lost. It's just that Nami is the one credited as the loser. Mina, will she be proud of her sister or ashamed? What?

I'm not sure who I want to ultimately win the tournament out of the remaining people. I mainly mentioned Sakura because she's the type of character that comes to mind and the best one to use to get my point across.

Anna Coppola (Ichigo Mashimaro) - gets my vote now, but will go down to Azmaria next round.
Azmaria Hendric (Chrono Crusade) - Easy one here.
Nayuki Minase (Kanon) - I love Triela but when it comes to moe, Kanon wins.
Nyamo (Love Hina) - Damn weird doll thing.
Shima Katase (Stellvia of the Universe) - Favorite remaining moe character in the bracket by miles.
Sarara (Bottle Fairy) - Moe, and again, don't like the Doremi designs.
Ren (DearS) - I dunno. No strong feelings.
Yurie Hitotsubashi (Kamichu!) - Yay for Kamichu license!
I'd loooooove to see Shipon win this bracket but I don't think she'll beat Belldandy or Azmaria =(

My votes:
Anna Coppela (Ichigo Mashimaro) - Can anyone slow down the Ichigo machine? (Geneon hopes not - they recently acquired the license for this series.)
Azmaria Hendric (Chrono Crusade) - My pick to win Bracket IV.
Nayuki Minase (Kanon) - Most of the Gunslinger Girls just don't act moeish to me.
Nyamo (Love Hina)
Shima Katase (Stellvia) - The biggest obstacle between Azmaria and the Moe Invitational Championship round is the "crybaby hothead" Shipon.
Sarara (Bottle Fairy) - As I mentioned in past rounds, the Bottle Fairies are moe personified.
Ren (DearS) - The most obvious choice between the two, but I'm afraid the the overwhelming popularity of Belldandy will be enough to defeat Ren.
Lou Roux (Godannar) - She might be a rebel, but the tragic background of Lou (along with her desparate need for attention) was enough to continue to support her.
Bracket IV Finals prediction: Azmaria vs. Shipon

Anna Coppola (http://img226.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ana3do.jpg) (Ichigo Mashimaro) - I voted based on the cute picture and my familiarity with her /images/graemlins/catgirl0.gif.
Azmaria Hendric (http://img226.imageshack.us/my.php?image=azmaria5jh.jpg) (Chrono Crusade) - No contest.
Nayuki Minase (http://img226.imageshack.us/my.php?image=nayuki5ut.jpg) (Kanon) - Voting against Triela for not being moé.
Moe the mechanical doll (http://img226.imageshack.us/my.php?image=moe4ys.jpg) (Love Hina) - Voted based on the name.
Shima Katase (http://img361.imageshack.us/my.php?image=shippon1zl.jpg) (Stellvia of the Universe) - I should vote against her just for defeating Nana /images/graemlins/anger200.gif, but I guess I'll let it go for now.
Hazuki Fujiwara (http://img226.imageshack.us/my.php?image=hazuki2kh.jpg) (Ojamajo Doremi) - This was pretty easy. The least moé of the Bottle Fairies against the most moé out of the 3 Doremi girls that I've seen = win for Hazuki.
Ren (http://img361.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ren9no.jpg) (DearS) vs. Belldandy (http://img226.imageshack.us/my.php?image=belldandy4zp.jpg) (Ah! My Goddess) - I'll have to pass on this one. I've heard that Ren is kind of like Chii in terms of personality, but I really dislike her character design and I'm just not very familiar with Belldandy either so I'll skip this one.
Yurie Hitosubashi (http://img330.imageshack.us/my.php?image=yurie9sv.jpg) (Kamichu!)

It's good to see that there have been no major upsets this time /images/graemlins/sweat000.gif. No surprises here, but for some reason there seems to be only about half as many votes as the last few polls.

I wonder if he should start getting the Moe Tournament threads pinned now that the Quarterfinals for each group are starting. He has two groups in one thread for the Quarterfinals.

That's a good idea. The only way for me to quickly access these threads is to put them in my favotite threads list, and the list is full right now.
Other than that, no real surprises in this round, althought the low voter turnout is somewhat a cause for concern. Nice to see both Azmaria and Shipon advance; that will ease the pain a little bit from the tragic news I heard about Kirby Puckett's death.

I personally think only some of the threads should be pinned. At the very least the final thread should be pinned. Besides I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing some of the older Moe threads locked to avoid cluttering the boards.

Anna Coppola (Ichigo Mashimaro) 20 60%
Nadoka Miyazaki (Negima) 13 39%
- Heh, Anna marches on! IM is not dead yet.
Mutsumi Orihime (Love Hina) 12 32%
Azmaria Hendric (Chrono Crusade) 25 67%
- Phew, with the way things have been going lately, I half expected to see Azmaria out.
Nayuki Minase (Kanon) 21 61%
Triela (Gunslinger Girl) 13 38%
- Hmm, this leaves... three Kanon girls in?
Shima Katase (Stellvia of the Universe) 28 82%
Kasumi Tendo (Ranma 1/2) 6 17%
- Man, this round is, so far a welcome respite from all the recent rediculousness. YAAAAAAAAAY SHIPON!
Sarara (Bottle Fairy) 20 57%
Hazuki Fujiwara (Ojamajo Doremi) 15 42%
- Unless I'm mistaken, only Bottle Fairy left, right?
Ren (DearS) 14 40%
Belldandy (Ah! My Goddess) 21 60%
- Impressive showing by Ren to get even that close.
Yurie Hitotsubashi (Kamichu!) 19 61%
Lou Roux (Godannar) 12 38%
- Thank goodness.
So, like... what's up with participation falling by HALF (or worse) in this round? O_o Did it just fall down in the list early on and never get bumped? Maybe that's why the results make sense. There must be a huge contingent of nonvocal voters who don't catch these threads right away that put in all the weird votes.
Also, if you look, no posts were made AT ALL from the 3rd until Aya's "90 minutes left" bump, and normally there's at least a post a day or so. I know I should hold off on voting so soon on these, because staggered voting keeps them high up and encourages voting. I think some of you have been intentionally delaying your votes for this reason, and I thank you for it, as it's helping keep the theads alive. This one just fell thruogh the cracks /images/graemlins/sweat000.gif

Very good idea. I totally understand the other rounds not being pinned (would have taken FOREVER), but with only 2 or so active at once, should be doable, unless those who aren't participating object too loudly.

Wouldn't hurt. Especially since the next one won't be until the day after tommorow. By then, the first set will be coming to a close. Otherwise we'll have to find convenient excuses to bump the threads. /images/graemlins/wink.gif
The semis, the finals, and the championship (and however many run-offs we'll need) will each be a single thread.
