Wasn't sure which board to post this one on, so I figured I'd throw it in here.

I need some help. See, I watched one of the Fatal Fury films way back when I was a kid and loved the shit out of it. I think I almost broke Blockbuster's VHS copy constantly rewinding and fastforwarding in slow-mo so I could see Mai's boobies.. /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

Anyways, to the point. I can't remember which Fatal Fury movie it was. So I'll give you guys what I remember of it and leave it to the masters to point me in the right direction. Ok, here goes. It starts out at a fighting championship, Mai is in the crowd and cheers Andy/Terry (an't remember which one) on, Mai stays in a hotel with Andy (I think it was him) and has a nice revealing shower, and there's a little kid in there somewhere. So yeah, that's all I remember.

It's not much, but any help would be nice. I can't find these flicks at any local shop, so I'm gonna have to go online, and all the plot synopsis' sound alike. I NEED HELP! I NEED TO OWN THIS CHILDHOOD (well...early teens) FAVORITE!

Well there is only one Fatal Fury "movie", and that's the one your description is referring to. You basically described the first 20 minutes of the movie there, if you completely steered clear of the plot, which I will not reveal. /images/graemlins/wink.gif It's called, appropriately enough, "Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture", and is available on DVD, including all of Mai's bouncy glory.

Also available are the two Fatal Fury OAV's, available on the Fatal Fury: Double Impact DVD. The first OAV on the disc is alright, the second is badass. I'd recommend watching the OAV's first, as they come first chronologically.

Fatal Fury: Double Impact (http://www.animeondvd.com/reviews2/disc_reviews/314.php)
Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture (http://www.animeondvd.com/reviews2/disc_reviews/315.php)

yeah watch it in order, the storylines actually go well together. Though i will admit the 1st oav is rather hard to watch because its so bad. D+/c- rating.

2nd oav is great, krauser is still one of my favorite villians ever, plus the music he plays on the organ is wonderfull(i wish i could find that peice of music) B/B+-favorite quote from it" Joe please try to die quietly, or i will have to ask you to leave" hhahahaha

3 is the movie-that where we get a good shower scene of mai /images/graemlins/noseblee.gif, music, action, stroy, makes it into the top 10 anime movies to watch in my book. Its a must watch on the stero, great music(another soundtrack ive been looking for a while) its only in 4.1 channel sound, but still sounds great

Yeah, you just described Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture, easily and readily available in Suncoast on DVD. Go for it.

Good luck finding Fatal Fury Legend of the Hungry Wolf and New Battle, though; the Double Impact DVD which contains both is Out of Print and Discontinued, making it nearly impossible to find in physical stores.

DVD Pacific still has stock on Double Impact, I got both discs from them not long ago. The site seems to be down at the moment.

[/ QUOTE ] Forgive my ignorance, but is DVD Pacific one of those stores you can physically walk into, or is it an online retailer only?

OK thanks. Well that just proves the point I was making: It's extremely difficult to walk into a PHYSICAL store and find a copy of Double Impact.

As much as I hate giving Suncoast any of my money, I have seen it at there recently in my area. They'd probably be your best bet as far as B&M shops go.

Sorry, didn't read your post closely enough. Yes, FF: DI would be nigh impossible to find at a physical retailer. But that goes for a lot of the Viz DVDs that were co-produced with Pioneer from what I've noticed.

Man...

Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture kicks so much ass.
I bought the DVD used at a pawn store about 3 years back (near-mint).
It actually had a plot! Gasp! It's probably even better than the Street Fighter II movie...

Only annoying thing was the Scanvo case. It like... made the center of the disc show... some sort of glue? I don't know...

I need to try out Double Impact though.

Hmm..I feel retarded. I was on IMDB looking for the films, and oddly enough I couldn't get a good enough handle from the plot synopsis they gave to differentiate between the two. I only rememberd a few key scenes. Key scenes being code for naked Mai...

Well, again, thanks for the info. I feel stupid now. But guess what? No Suncoast in my area anymore. That's right. Sam Goody took over. DAMN IT!!
