GitS:SAC log question

Supposedly, the first Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Official Log covers episodes 1-19 -- but does the log content spoil any of the later episodes?

I'm currently making my way though the series, just finished up volume 5 (ep. 20). I had planned to hold off on buying this until I finished the show, but it seems to be getting a bit harder to find. (For example, it's vanished from both DDD.com and RightStuf.com's Web sites)

So I have one on the way -- just wanted to know if it would be a good idea to shelve it until I've seen the whole thing, or if it's safe to take a peek?

You are right. It doesn't cover the final episodes in the book, the DVD I am not sure about since I stopped watching it half way and I haven't taken a look at it since that time.

It should be safe for you to pick up!

The book only covers up to ep 19. At the end of the highlight section on the DVD, there's a little "teaser/preview" that shows highlights from ep 20-24. As far as I remember, that's the only part of Official Log 1 that covers episode 20+.
