Flame of Recca v Yu Yu Hakousho

So far my supernatural "ghostbuster" type anime shows are Ghost Sweeper Mikami, Phantom Buster Miko & Phantom Quest Corps.

Will I like either of Flame of Recca or Yu Yu Hakousho better?

Neither are like the shows you mentioned. As for FOR vs YYH, I like YYH a bit more, although both series are very similar (early on, with those long ass tourneys). The latter parts are very different. Actually, I enjoy the last arc of FOR more than anything from YYH, but that's manga only.

So, as far as anime goes, YYH.

The best parts of Flame of Recca happen after the Kurei/Recca fight, but unfortunately that was well before the manga was finished and weren't animated. I really wish that Studio Perriot would go back and finish it.

I pretty much agree with what everyone else here said. Get the YYH anime and the FoR manga. Although both will probably set you back...I like the FoR manga more though.

And as for comparisons...besides having some rather similar character archetypes and a rather similar structure during a tournament arc, they really aren't that much a like (FoR doesn't even have ANYTHING to do with ghost busting)

Thats because Recca isn't a spirit detective of any kind...he's an NIN-JA!
