Did you realize it says you're selling 20 copies?

Do you plan on taking actual international shipping rate or do you plan on overcharging like you do with US and Canadian shipping?

I'm sure he has 20 copies to sell. As for shipping I charge the same price for both Canada and US on shipping, $5. (for DVD's)

I'm not sure if Canada can ship to the US for just as cheap as it is to ship from US to Canada.

It is a shame that some people really overcharge on shipping, but it is the seller's choice. Just factor in the shipping costs into what you are willing to pay for the item.

Eventually I think that Ebay will come up with a system similar to Amazon.com's; where they just give you a shipping credit, to where no one can gouge on shipping. It will insure that Ebay makes the optimal amount of money possible. I could be wrong, but I think the OP is trying to make as much money as possible by preventing Ebay from taking fees, if he upped the cost of the item and lowered the shipping costs.

Shipping within Canada is much more expensive than shipping from Canada to the US. Canada Post is notorious for their ridiculous domestic shipping prices.

Even with the $11 shipping, that is a good price on that boxset regardless, yes? I had someone buy me boxset 4 as a gift; without the first 3 boxes it is sort of a tease.

Why the heck did you buy 20 boxsets though??!! /images/graemlins/stunned0.gif

Look, I am not overcharging anyone. If anything, I am losing money on the shipping. The Marmalade Boy boxsets are over 500 grams, and once the weight of the package is over 500 grams, the price doubles when shipping to the US. Ground shipping to the US costs $9.90 CDN, and air shipping costs $12.25 CDN. I used to charge $10 US for the US, but with the shrinking American dollar, and the increasing Canadian dollar, plus the recent increase by Canada Post, I had to do that. If they were less than 500 grams and not hardcover I might be able to ship them more efficiently.

I ALWAYS ship air mail unless somewants me to ship something else, and I lose money on shipping because of it, but I want the item to get there safely and not get lost.

I could always bubble mail the item instead of boxing it, but I would hate to ruin the box because it is such a nice hard digipak. That is why I would rather box it up than save money and end up having a buyer that isn't happy because their hard cover boxset got ruined in transit. The box is of the same hardness as the Everybody Loves Raymond sets that are being released nowadays.

As for the Canadian rate, it really depends on what province you are in. If you are in BC or Alberta, I may be able to drop it a dollar or 2.

If you still don't believe me, check out the Canada Post website and crank in the information yourself.

Trust me, I will never overcharge buyers because I hate getting overcharged by others.

Of course I plan to take the actual international shipping rate! And I don't overcharge. These boxes are quite heavy so they cost a lot more than most sets cost to ship.

Nah, you're not overcharging, that's just CP's rates. But you may want to up your Canadian shipping, or have potential bidders contact you with their postal code. It would cost more than $10 to ship east of the prairies.

Any chance that you will be relisting the auction if all 20 don't sell? I am really interested in getting one, but don't have the cash for it at the moment.

I'm going to be listing some items on Ebay (hopefully tonight / this weekend) and would use the money from those auctions for the MB Box. However, I am not sure if I'd have the cash before your current auction ends.

Thanks
Galt

What you could do is that you could buy one right before the auction ends. That way, you have 10 days from that point to pay me, so you should have enough time to accumulate the money by that point. That would give you up to the 4th of April or so. If you need longer than that, just let me know in advance, ok?

A little more than 1 day left. Make sure to get your box so you won't miss out!

Thanks for the reminder! Just bought one. Will pay in a day or two; need to wait for my auctions to end.
