Anime Similar Full Metal Panic Fumoffu?

Are there any anime series that is similar to Full Metal Panic Fumoffu?

Full Metal Panic Fumoffu is fun to watch because of the unique characters (Sousuke) placed in odd siutations in everyday setting.

I'll ask a similar question, but narrow is down a bit. Are there any other good series that play the same role as Fumoffu within their franchise? I think the fun of Fumoffu (though I havent seen it, I will eventually) is seeing the relatively serious franchise redone in a highly comedic spinoff.
