Bubblegum Crisis Remastered - Video Quality?

How much of an upgrade in video quality is the Bubblegum Crisis Remastered Boxset?

Is it substantial or is it only minor?

There's improvement in colour/contrast, though overall it could (and should) have been a lot better. I'm still waiting for an ultimate remaster.

Judging by the screenshots it's a nice remaster (Animeigo's specialty) and i guess i will upgrade.

Hopefully it'll be remasted in Japan soon using all their special techniques, so until then...

Yep yep. My flatmate bought and sent back both versions. The remastered one (of what I saw) didn't bother me too much and was certainly watchable, but it didn't 'sparkle' as much as I would have liked. But then he took it back, so I haven't watched it since! /images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif

If they made some sort of ultimate remaster, I'd probably pick it up on principle!

i've had the original BGC in many incarnations over the years. vhs, then to dvd, dvd again, and finally the remastered dvds. in terms of audio and video quality, the newest remaster is the Best, imo.
