After months and months of delays Steamboy finally got its UK release this week, and I've just recieved my DC version from play. Whilst I haven't sat down and watched the movie yet I thought I would at least describe the LE set for those who haven't bought it and maybe interested.

The packaging is exactly the same as the Tokyo Godfathers release, with a sturdy slip cover covering the box, which features the same (rather dull) artwork as the slip cover.

Like the TG release the 164 page booklet remains untranslated and thus pretty useless unless you like looking at pictures or can read Japanese. Post cards are in the same little cardboard wallet like TG ones. The 26 page Manga booklet comes in its original unflipped form and is in Japanese (However there is a seperate card with the translations on it, so the Manga can be read.)

The DVDs have yet another slip cover (with the artwork seen on play), but the DVDs are not housed in a normal DVD case but are instead in one of those terrible fold out cardboard holders (like MangaUK Akira release, or the r1 release of Jin Roh), and suprisingly discs have been held in position and the plastic hubs are intact.

I will try post pictures but for the life of me can not find the damn usb lead for the camera.

I got it on Monday... over a year after I ordered it from Play. Kind of made me laugh.

It's another nice package though.
